Hey, why is everyone is acting like a child about the "Nokia vs. Samsung" thing?

I've been a Nokia user for 5 years (1100, 2100, 6600, 7610, 6630, 3250) but now I'VE HAD IT! I waited for Nokia for 3 years to release a mobile that doesn't go to the customer service almost every day or doesn't have to be formated or doesn't crash!

All my Nokia mobiles are not working now! :(
And they can't be sold (So I spent hundreds of dollars for buying other Nokia phones and for repairing them & changing their batteries!!) :(

I know that people now will say that I don't know how to use the Nokia mobiles properly or I broke them but HELL NO! All of them are in a great shape (only physically) and they look like new ones but NOT WORKING!!

(BTW I'm using a Siemens mobile (S60) for 4 years and IT'S WORKING GREAT, and it didn't visit the customer service or changed it's battery)

(I also have a Samsung phone (an old one) for 6 years and IT STILL WORKS)

But the Nokias can't be kept for more than 2 or 3 years.....

So FINALLY after this LOOONG sotry with NOKIA,I finally switched to SAMSUNG "INNOV8" :)

INNOV8 is working GREAT till now and the camera is AMAZING and the 16GB is so HELPFUL.........

I payed 850$ for it but I don't regret it, because with my experience with samsung, I'm not going to visit any customer service!! :)

I hope that the Samsung innov8 doesn't disappoint me like nokia, and I hope that it last with me like the other samsung & siemens phones!

            Thanks for reading

TI OMAP 2430 model are the 2nd generation of TI OMAP chips, 2420, powers multiple hi-end Nokia smartphones(N93, N95, E90, N82) and has in fact an integrated 3D accelerator.
The improvement from 2420 also extremely numerous. The CPU frequency has been pulled up to 450MHz from previous value of 330MHz. The chipset can work with high definition camera(> 5 MP) and it take less than a second to take shot. The rest important point about 2430 hardware are an upgrade TWL4030 module (TWL 92230 was used in 2420). TWL4030 is multifunctional solution providing access to numerous codecs, dedicated audio processing module, noise filters, and so on.
Samsung i8510 is the first Samsung smartphone to fully utilize the potential of the hardware graphics accelerator. It is an absolute requirement for processing 8 megapixel images, real-time VGA video decoding with separate audio signal processing(done by dedicated DSP, excluding the possibility of using the music player and camera at the same time). The graphic accelerator can now handle twice as few polygons per second, commonly used to power the best gaming phone.
Nokia N85 utilizes the same hardware as N78, N81, and N79. Freescale is cheaper solution for the most expensive TI OMAP 2430. The lack of 3D accelerator is blatant in the Jbenchmark 3D test. N85 lags behind in other test as well. Despite the lags seen in the test, N85 audio quality is the same with N96, a bit above than N78, but a bit below than Samsung GT-i8510 INNOV8.

                          Battery:

                          - Samsung i8510 : Standard, Li-Ion 1200 mAh, Stand-by Up to 310 h, Talk time Up to 8 h 30 min

                          - Nokia N96 : Standard, Li-Ion 950 mAh, Stand-by Up to 220 h, Talk time Up to 3 h 40 min !!!!!!!!

                          - Nokia N85 : Standard, Li-Ion 1200 mAh, Stand-by Up to 360 h, Talk time Up to 6 h 50 min

                          Camera:

                          - Samsung i8510 : 8 MP, Video VGA@30fps, QVGA@120fps

                          - Nokia N96 : 5 MP , Video VGA@30fps

                          - Nokia N85 : 5 MP, Video VGA@30fps

                          Conclusion :

                          - Samsung GT-i8510 INNOV8 has faster hardware performance, the best camera, excellent sound - DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound engine), excellent build quality, good battery, good price etc. while Nokia N96 is the slowest most expensive and with just 950 mah battery.

                          - Samsung GT-i8510 INNOV8 fully utilize the potential of the 3D graphic accelerator. It is an absolute requirement for processing the camera, video recording, decoding and playback. Nokia N85 and N96 can't handle this perfectly because the lack of graphic accelerator.

                          - Samsung GT-i8510 INNOV8 is the best gaming phone today. U can enjoy your 3D or HD games running perfectly in 29 fps, while Nokia N85 and N96 only can run below 10 fps. Thank's to dedicated hardware graphic accelerator.

-By this point you should probably guess our opinion of the Nokia N96 build quality. It is all the way inconsistent with the price of the device

-Nokia N96 is a great software package that comes in an utterly user-unfriendly shell. The ergonomics of the device are so poor (except for video watching) that operating it is a chore, rather than fun.

-The dual ARM9 264 MHz CPU used in Nokia N96 is still faster than most other devices out there but is a downgrade from the dual ARM 11 332 MHz that we saw on both Nokia N95 versions. (V8 ima 500MHz CPU)

-The 2.8" treat of a screen is probably the best way for Nokia N96 to salvage some pride. Excellent picture is a perfect complement to its generous size. In all fairness, brightness has been slightly reduced compared to Nokia N95 8GB but still keeps a very high level.

-The picture quality of Nokia N96 is decent but, much to our surprise, not as good as any of the Nokia N95 versions. It is quite obvious that a smaller sensor have been used in Nokia N96 resulting in a reduced dynamic range. The handset also has a strong tendency to overexpose photos which brings in quite prominent highlight clipping. The clipping of a single color channel, resulting in loss of detail is also quite common.

-The right side of Nokia N96 features the volume rocker and the dedicated camera key. Those controls are a blatant attempt to defy user-friendliness. While the rigidity of the volume key is almost forgivable, the camera key is beyond belief. It's so uncomfortable that it renders taking any kind of decent photos with the N96 almost impossible.

-No cap over the USB slot means it can fill up with dirt - we've been there already with both N95 and N95 8GB.

-There's no protection for the camera lens, either. It is not even sunk a millimeter as on Nokia N95 8GB.

-Battery life was one of the most troublesome aspects of the original Nokia N95 and, after the 1200 mAh BL-6F upgrade in the 8GB version, we almost cannot believe Nokia went back to it.
The current 950 mAh battery can hardly provide a day of extensive usage

-No office document editing out of the box
-Doesn't charge via the USB port
                            -Dreadful camera key
                            -Cheap looking keypad
                            -Unreasonably hefty price tag

-Final words: Too little, too late

yeah, too bad it has such a poor battery, and no xeon flash.... getting sick of N-series, i've switched to E71 from n95,N95-8G,N82 , and it's so much better looking and fast, and besides camera you can do almost anything N-series can. Too bad nokia can't make a "perfect" phone
