musicphone/n82, 03 Sep 2008dont expect too much that its price will drop down substant... morei was hoping for it to go down at least of N95 8GB level but if it wont, my other choice will be N85. anyways that's for about 6 months from now or more, and anything can happen in between, right now I'm going to abuse my omnipotent N82 first before upgrading c",

iolo003, 03 Sep 2008finally this phone is now officially release! c", i do ho... moredont expect too much that its price will drop down substantially. this phone is not meant to be mass marketed and thus will only be produced in moderate volume just like n93i and n95 8gb models. n93i's never came down lower than php25,000 before it was phased out. n95 8gb is already discontinued after less than a year of being launched and its price is still around php25,000. it will soon be phased out also. looking at this perspective, n96 is most likely to take the same path.

After announcing a product you should not delay it more than three months because if the competition has something on it´s sleeve they will have the time to alter their product specs in order to launch it faster and have a more equipped and competitive product.N96´s specs sound now like a blast from the past.Too long, too late Nokia.

It is true that the 16gb memory goes currupt and the tv tuner doesnt work and to top it all the memory card slot can only take 256mb cards nothin more, this is A real disapointment

All are telling that it would be in indian market on spt 1 bt nw they hav delayed to sept 15. Neways there not a much difference in n82 and n96 bt n96 is proving to be the costliest n-series mobile.any ideas that the how much rate would be in india

Shame on nokia. They are making some very questionable marketing decisions. First off they overpricing the N96, that in essence has no real substantial evidence to justify cost. The only significant thing about this phone is the platform in which the os is ran on. Furthermore, they issue numerous devices that are equivalent with one another in terms of specifications. The nseries use to be the series of innovation, however nokia puts unjustafiable pricing on their devices and saturate their own brand. This form of phsycological pricing futher confuses the consumer on a sense of "value" when conserning the phones in which they advertise. Hopefully the get it together because they appear more in competition with themselves.
