I don't know why Nokia has gone for ARM 9 for N96 wherease it has used ARM 11 for N95 8GB.

if they would focus on making the n96 have a great sensor and great algorithms it will be a great camera phone as it is at 5mp...
megapixels arent everything dude...but if you are going by the crab mentality of "more is better" I think n96 could prove that having more is not necessarily better...take alook at n82 or n95, both phone are able to compete against an exlim 7.2mp cam...
which means that even though it is at a smaller megapixel count...but having great optics, truly makes ia a good camera ^_^

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970my friend i think this mobile comes in end of da year dnt hope 2 much 4 this buy another phone.if u hav a patience then wait 4 it.i was very tired 2 wait 4 this so i decide 2 buy n95 8gb.1mobile seller say 2 me it has hardware problem thats y not yet release.my friend says battery life is very poor because it has 16gb memory i think cant watch tv up 2 2,3 hourse.i was investigation this phone since in february.memory up2 24gb coz it has dvd recording capability.talk time up 2 3 hourse.crumbly key pad like n81.no 3d graphic accelarator.games bit slow when u play.when u record video flash light appears that case loss ur battery life.it has dual flash.final 2 say its very cost normal people cant get this phone.nokia plz try 2 selfless.i said that im think so dnt get upset.

Nokias got to change its ideas, as o.k the N96 might be out in October an people will get it on contract then in November-December announce its 8 mega-pixel camera mobile an this will really annoy those who have sign-up for the N96 an can not cancel there contracts,so as it as happened to me before with N95 an the N73 will not get the N96 straight away as i got the N73 then a month later the improved version the Black Music Edition was released an really angered me,then sign up for the N95 then Nokia followed there trend release the Black 8gb one,so will Nokia do the same with the N96 you never know an released the N96i with a 8mega-pixel camera on it,so will be close eye on any new mobile being announce by Nokia before making the right choice is the N96 worth waiting for or get the Samsung i8510,so all the people keep a close eye on Nokias Plan on new announcements before getting the N96 to early

Nokia N96 has and touch pad for the select,menu,and back key.this key are important.the problem with this is touch key can spoiled faster.remember the K850i

Nokia N-series battery life are so so poor!!!
N95 battery life only last for 1 day. Why put all these features and the battery can't support it? WHY NOKIA?? WHY???

All of those above mentioned phones also have a 3D hardware graphics accelerator. On the other hand, N96 is not as powerful as the likes of N95. N96 shares the same processor of the outdated N92, it's dual core processor called Nomadik with clock rate of 264Mhz. There is no 3D graphics accelerator. You research for you to find out!

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2008which is better, the n95 8gb or the n96?? pls answer in my opinion, n95 8gb is better than n96 - price, usability, performance already tested. plus n95 8gb has 3d graphics accelerator and dual arm 11 cpu. n96 doesnt have a 3d graphics accelerator and processor is same as on n92 arm 9 264mhz only. n96 will be expensive and n95 8gb will be so much cheap in time which is more worth the money.

routine, 31 Jul 20088mp phones are coming soon,5mp is old,and poor battery life... moreif u really need 8mp camera fone r u gna use dem for most of the time if u do then i wud sed it worsly 4 u 2 buy but no point 4 nokia 2 mke 8mp coz there r too many new fone better next year
