Not as good the iPhone? What are you smoking mate? The iPhone is a piece of S**t!!! Lacks basic features etc.
As for the N96, brilliant phone! Its got everything you could possibly want in a phone!
The only two flaws i can see is that it doesnt have a 3D accelerator inside, nor does it have xenon flash :(

As far as I think, this is one of the best phone in the market yet(comparing any brand). I-Phone do not have FM Radio, Poor Video, Camera Resolution is below average, Music through speaker is verrrrry low, No Live TV etc. So please match these features from I-Phone and think again.
One again screen resolution of Nokia is unbeatable.
Great phone till date.
Hats off to Nokia!!!!!

why should they compare iPhone with this phone?
iPhone is nothing but UI, and its not even a phone because of its poor call feature and capabilities

the i phone will not rule the roost ... nokia rulez the world sony ericsson comes a close second . i will put my money with nokia... n96 is a dogs balls handset iphone slipped up by just giving o2 the uk rights to the iphone if it was open to all networks they might give the others something to worry about but i will never get a iphone nokia will beat them hands down . sure apple messed it up at the start by not. releasing the phone in 3g. they keep pushing the 3g thing . wake up apple nokia will be soon lauching 4g handsets....3g is so old school...

the iphone does not even compare to the nseries phones. the user interface on iphones is whack, txting is inherently slower bc no t9 option, and the touch screen is bothersome in bags bc the lock feature slides unlocked. the user interface on the nseries is convenient and the best i have used. the media capability of the n96 is unparalleled. cannot wait for the release of this phone!!

I met one of my friends last week . He'd bought N96 3 months ago . I asked him about the processor . He said 550 mhz !!! He'd checked the information in the manual , so that's true .

what good is a phone that has a camera but no flash a phone that u bluetooth on or cant even send picyure messages...... i phone no good

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970yup, i agree but mainly ONLY in UI and screen (perhaps in sound volume with earphones also but not in quality, bcoz if im not mistakin, u cannot set ur own equalizer setting to ur liking, u can juz choose d preset ones).
besides, can we send MMS, send files via bluetooth, record videos natively, forward a text msg, beam stereo audio to bluetooth headsets, hav a video conference, watch digital TV directly (thru DVB-H), expand memory, play java games natively, et al with an iPhone 3G?
rest of d features r FAR better in N96. and i think dat N96 wil hav better battery management too. i heard dat d 1st gen iPhone needs to be charged like 3 times in a day.. i thought N95-1 holds d gold title in dat dept.. well i guess im wrong(?)
in d end, d user wl stil decide which one is better for her/him (preferences, priorities).
in short, if we want/are more to/into 'consume/ing' media d iPhone wil b an excellent device but on other hand..
if we want/are more to/into 'create/ing' digital media, N96 is one of d best multimedia gadgetry to hit 2008
don't get me wrong iPhone enthusiasts, but i gotta say dat Nokia N96 is STILL d best all rounder announced (yes, i've even included Samsung Omnia, Primera, LG Secret, SE C905, HTC Diamond, and d BlackBerry Thunder)
