People have imagination and Photoshop is a great tool for them. If you searched Google for N97, N99 and N100 you would be amazed by what people can dream of.

But now seriously, Samsung is yet to release its 8 mpx sensor in mobiles this year or at MWC 2009 so look for facts, not fiction.

And another thing, about Nokia touchscreen handsets. Nokia is going to release touchscreen devices this year or for sure at MWC '09.

really disappointed with Battery...same as the old n95 BL5F...for a handset that's got a bigger LCD and DVB-H and bigger memory with card slot...i start wondering wut;s going in the heads of the makers? But it's surely an impressive device. I really wish ...they invent a better lasting battery before launch.

endlessz, 01 Jun 2008@ anonymous: well that may be true i agree with ur statem... moreTo endlessz,
y'r right, everyone's different. I also wanna feel complete, just in a different way. I'm not a communication geek, but I'm a media one. So 3G, Edge, Wi-Fi, GPS aren't my cup of tea. Ok, I want them, but if I'm to compromise, I'd prefer xenon (& led for video), 120 f/s slow-motion, FM transmitter, optical zoom, MPEG4/DivX player, & my-own-aspiration ordinary local TV receiver. That's how I see & feel complete.

It's just like the N95 I don't know why they even bothered.
But why did they have to make it look like the N81... The N81 was such a great little phone that no one wanted. Now it's gonna look like a baby to this thing!

It's gonna be like this... You are walkin down the street with your brand new N96 going to show it off to everyone... Only the find everyone else has it too! Wouldn't it be so much better to have a phone that's different to everything made before it?

                      Yes, yes it would.

                        @ anonymous:
                        well that may be true
i agree with ur statement -

" I would prefer an all-rounder justifiably equipped phone to an over-equipped one I'll likely end up not using half of its gadgetry, while lacking ones I crave for "

but maybe everyone's different, coz to me, i would feel bored having a phone with all of it's function i know and i use, it feels like there's nothing else to learn out there, u're stuck with those, well that's how i feel when i bought W900i, so i went back to Nokia and bought N76, now bought N95 8gb, and will buy N96 in the future.
i dont noe bout u, but if it's me, i feel good having a very advance phone in my hand and taking it anywhere, i feel complete =)

All the people wanting the N96 please keep off the U.k sellers on Ebay.co.uk saying they are selling it as i think they are all scams just for your money,so keep a close eye on the sellers as i have seen on seller offering it for sale but is listings were a exact copy of chinese seller on the Canadian site an he told me it was a tri-band one with only a 1.3 megapixel camera on it a 2gb memory card limit so WATCH OUT now or you might be losing loads of money

That is $1,200 for the US market! Now, I am sure most people are sensible enough to get the phone for free on a 12-18 month contract with a network, but there's sure to be one or two morons out there who cant wait for the Nokia Touch Tube, which will be out later this year

Spotted Viper, 31 May 2008Hi all. Every time I'm about to buy a nokia phone, some spe... moreThere are still some supposed issues of this device that keep readers from seeing facts.

                                    1. "bulky". The N95 was a revolutionary device with tons of features in a compact design. You can't possibly tell me that its shape can be seen from your pocket. Well, this N96 is thinner and as volume, it is smaller than the N95. It is a bit wide due to the screen dimensions. But compared to the N95, it is smaller and does a lot more than its predecessor.

                                    2. Battery (omnipresent problem). The review on mobile-review.com states that the N96 (950mAh) can outperform the N95 8GB (1200mAh) in battery life. Optimizations made by Nokia will make the difference for sure.

                                    3. The dual-LED flash is a compromise, because it can deliver much more light than a normal LED, but it can still be used for video, unlike the xenon flash.

                                    4. DVB-H. It is true that this service is not available in many countries. This feature is also meant to encourage the spread of non-streaming mobile TV.

                                    5. Mobile Office editors are available. This software is not part of the phone OS, but its installation in the phone would solve the problem.

                                    Oh, and another thing:
                                    6. Price. The question that comes is "what would you expect from the feature pack that this phone has to offer?", which is a pretty logical question in my opinion. Thing is, that if you wait for the price to drop, even better handsets will be released. It is a matter of choice.

And I can safely say it's no way near the W800i in the music & imaging departments. So, you see. It isn't about being complete, it's about being convenient. Wish you get the N96 though:)
