nikul parekh nadiad, 20 Jul 2009i have n 96 from 9 month and when i buy then after i updat... moreIm telling you right now the phone is crap, the exact same thing happen to me, then when I did get it fixed it started freezing up and colours went all blury on the screen, yup jus as dat happen my warranty expired too, its the phone itself is crap, my friend had the exact phone, her problem was the exact same problem as you. Sorry to say but the phone is worthless and nokia care will try there hardess to avoid the problem, I only had my phone for a couple of months nt even 6 months, im so angry with it not happy one bit.. i have n 96 from 9 month and when i buy then after i update my softwere verson and then my mobiles music light is not working and nokia care and any one is not solving my problem and my mobiles warranty is now no more so i am just not satisfy with the service. i don't have any problem with n 95 bt the problem is service.

I just upgraded my n96 with new software version 30.033 from phone itself and why all my contacts in phone memory appearing twice? and when i tried to delete duplicate contact all data is lost,i mean all my phone contacts are now duplicate and when i delete one,the other one is also deleted?does anyone else having same problem?and what is the solution for it?this is really strange because in previous software my SIM contacts were not appearing and in this new software although now my SIM contacts are appearing but my all phone contacts are duplicated?

hi guys,
i updated my n96 via phone gprs. my new firmware version is 30.033.
just type on standby screen *#000# you will find new window go in option and push to update phone.

for the peaple didnt know how to uprade
1-download latest vergin of nokia pc suit from nokia wesite
2-finish this setup it will ask u to connect your mobile
3-connect it and u will find icon to update your mobile just press it and it will guid u to the new softwer
4-dont do anything untill it finish
5 enjoy with the new softwere

to all user of n96. i would like to ask is it that when using the phone, the selection key in the middle doesnt light up and for the power saver option, there is no time and date, u can only choose none, animation and slide show for your power saver mode

douglas, 13 Jul 2009software version 30.033 is out yea more speed more features... moreyeah it is pretty amazing!!!
the first thing I found out when I updated it was it was alot smoother and faster and the camera was sharp and auto focus amproved!!!
