For me, adding a standard keyboard to a touch screen phone is just showing that using a touchscreen is a real pain...

This wonder reminds me of my old Psion Series 3a, which incidentally still works, but only on power supply. It had a full QWERTY keyboard which I miss in my iPaq. Nokia enshrines the best OS, which dates back to the 3a's SIBO then 5MX's EPOC and the eventual Symbian OS. Once my iPaq goes bust, I'll definitely switch back to Symbian. One major advantage over MS's OS is RELIABILITY and ROBUSTNESS.

Considering release date and targeted segment this product should support faster HSPA categories, e.g. HSDPA 7.2, HSUPA 1.8.

Well, jj is right. Better watch for the coming of Sony-Ericsson Hikaru - the upgraded version of the Xperia. Here's a catch, why we will wait for it when Samsung Omnia is still the leader in mobile supremacy today? And yet, HTC has the MAX 4G as an answer to Omnia. When it comes to versatility and profoundness, a Windows application is always a 'must'.

- n97 vs se x1

yes but the huge problem with the x1 is... it runs windows mobile, I have enough problems trying to keep my windows computers running, don't really want the same problems on my phone. Additionally every other SE phone I have ever used freezes up regularly, don't know why maybe it's just my bad luck...

This is an open question / request to Nokia and ATT / TMobile or any other US carrier out there who has decent GSM coverage.
Why do you refuse to order this phone or any other quality Nokia phone for that matter? Please make a / some sort of deal to provide a decent Nokia handset at a reasonable price! I finally broke down and bought an iPhone because I didn't like any of your other handsets, as a matter of fact I did not renew my contract for over 5 (att) years because you provide such a poor handset offering. I would much rather order an unlocked phone online and keep my options open.
If I had my choice between a solid Nokia and the iPhone for the same price I would choose Nokia every time. I make due with the iPhone and justify it because the app store gives me some decent and useful add ons, which I would definately sacrifice for a Nokia that let's me copy and paste, send contact info via email or text and use flash content. Not that I like flash all that much but because I hate seeing the stupid little box on sites I visit, not all flash is for ads (steve), I am a photographer and most other photographers use flash to display their work...
I don't really care about the megapixels on a camera phone, the more megapixels the noisier the pictures will be, so mystery carrier that will order the N97 and give it to your customers for around $300-$350, don't worry about going crazy on pixels. However start getting phones with a video call camera, yes we would like to use it and if more people had it you would sell more data plans in order to use them.
The only small shortcoming I see with this phone is its wifi radio, I wish they included an wireless n radio.
Why do US carriers refuse to provide quality handsets that work well for both business and personal use?
Overall I am happy with my iPhone 3g experience, but not so much that I would say I am a raving fan, it has it's short comings but I can honestly say that I have not yet found a phone for $300 that I enjoy more and I am not willing to spend much more than that for a phone which will only last me 2 or 3 years assuming an unforeseen catastrophe.
Nokia, I am impressed with your touch screen efforts thus far, but please strike some sort of deal with a US carrier to subsidize the cost of this phone or one very similar but definitely don't succumb to the pressure to remove the wifi radios in order to do so!
Thanks,
Mr. Hopeful
