Anonymous, 17 Aug 2010No problems at all but u should get n97 mini Why the N97 mini? What's the advantage and disadvantages? I referred to the N97 than N97 mini because of the 3.5 inches only.

This phone is over priced and unreliable. I am continuously struggling with the phone hanging up. The phone is slow and the gps is unreliable. It takes ages to connect and for some reason chooses the weirdest routes (frequently telling me to make a u-turn on the highway, which is the correct route and chooses the weirdes routes - even tells me to use a gravel road whilst there are perfect tar roads with a shorter distance)
There are many many many better phones that are a fraction of this phone's price

Nokia N97 Users,
New Firmware Or Software Version Is Not Going To Released Any More For Nokia N97 And Nokia N97 Mini Because This Both Models Has Been Discontinued By Nokia Due To Some Technical Faults Which Has Not To Be Disclosed By Nokia.

phil, 13 Aug 2010why did Nokia have to allow China make Nokia N97? the Chin... morei think u got conned. there should be no quality difference between phones made in china and phones made in elsewhere. maybe u have bought an imitation phone. check the brand carefully maybe it is written "NOK(L)A"

Lesser space on 'c' drive is one thing. Another thing is 128 MB RAM out of which you get around 58 MB RAM free after re-booting your device which is certainly not a good amount of RAM to multitask.
In the year 2010 if you are thinking to buy this n97 phone, i will say its features have been outdated.
128 MB RAM is history now... minimum standards are becoming 256 or may be even more than that.
434 Mhz processor is also old thing... now at least 600 Mhz or even good if 1Ghz processor is there to make your mobile work smoother.
TFT screens consumes more battery power and hence Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode or AMOLED and now SUPER AMOLED screens have become a new thing in the market.
So why to choose something which seems to look so outdated or behind in the race of technological advances in the year 2010-11.
In that respect, if you are a true Nokia fan, you must consider buying new Nokia N8 which has better RAM, decent processor and AMOLED capacitive touchscreen supporting multi-touch.
