Users criticize the N97 for lacking the processor to handle many of its features such as 32 GB HD space. The N97 also has less NAND memory so you have to watch the applications you download more carefully.

N97 isn't a good phone , lag at smsing . even though i deleted alot of programs in it. dont buy N97 mini man! my current firmware was 10.02. it lags like hell when i only use it for 3months.

Guys, You like it or not, this is the Nokia FLAGSHIP at the moment.
Has some flaws, but the Audio quality and all the features, the camera, software availability more than make up for it.
I chose this over the iPhone, coz the Camera, speakers on it SUCK !!!
Till the N8 comes out, (at the price of an eye and a tooth) this is a really good buy.

Is there a file I should install?HI,
First, take a backup of all your contacts and messages, and all that you hold dear on a computer(through the latest version on OVI suite)
once done, from the home screen, type : *#7370#
it will ask a question, say yes.
It will format your phone.
Now, format the mass storage, the 32 or 29GB, whatever.(FROM THE PHONE, Not the comp)
Now, go to OVI suite on computer, connect your mobile, and check for the " Upgrade " icon on the top.
Click on it.
It will give you an option to upgrade the firmware.
The phone will be significantly faster after doing this.
Before the current firmware, my phone showed just 10% free Ram, now at least 30 to 40 % is free.
Also, make sure you dont stuff your Phone memory. INSTALL ALL, repeat, ALL applications on Mass memory.
That should do it.

i want to ask u that ,Is N97 realated to pocket Pc phones? the software use for pocket pc mobile will be able to work in this N97??

It's a great phone...........
Now it's 1 yr i'm using this, so attractive and perfect...
little problems never mind it...
Best Performance for ever...
Use it wisely,perfectly and enjoy it...

Before you upgrade, format your phone and the mass memory.

It's fine when it works! I am a bit disappointed with it actually. So far it has -
1. made calls by itself as the key lock feature only works intermittently.
2. Calendar. Activates OK, but takes about 5-7 attempts to close it!. It just keeps coming back after 'close' is pressed.
3. Front bevel fell off the first day! Had to superglue it back on.
4. Buttons work only sometimes.
5. It's very frustrating, when you're in a hurry, to have to w..a..i..t.. so long for the screens to change after pressing buttons.
Give me back my N95....please.

a handset with outdated hardwares/softwares + that self harming lens cover + ridiculously high priced should be called tha 5800 but faulty tuned...

what is your experience about the sliding mechanism
i just want to get the phone, but what to know about the slide function.
i hope its not like the slide that get spoilt after some time.

i watched a video in which they showed that u can copy ur data directly to your n8 using a special cable.can the same thing be done with n97 as it has the similar operating system and same port like n8

What is the diffrent between this phone and the 5800 ? (32G - fm transmetor - 5Mp cam - qwrety key bad - more senstive screen - loudspeaker is lower than 5800 )i know all of that. what else ?. Is the camera of N97 can peat N82 camera. pls reply me.

This is realy a good phone but one thing which is missing is the onscreen querty keyboard!!! Seems nokia didnt think of this. Is there any software that you have to install to get the touchscreen querty? Or maybe a firmware update? PLEASE HELP...
