Again go and replace with the international version, you know other countries are covered with limited warranty so that you can easily replace them but international version are not corvered with this warranty in some country so it makes them to produce international stronger than other version e.g When new software version is released it will be 1st made availabe to US/Europian countries so have you aske yourself why? Is because those version are not strong compare int. Version........4rm NG

vish, 12 Apr 2010hard resetting and formatting is same as far as I know (har... moreand the other thing..soft resetting will only restore the factory settings (default phone settings)..you wont lose any data.

im just curious,,,reset and formatting is the sa... morehard resetting and formatting is same as far as I know (hard resetting will only format the C: memory and you have to format mass memory separately)..it will be a really long post if I post all the details here..you better google it..there you can find all the info..
and formatting does not affect your firmware version..it will remain unchanged..

i boughT dis n97 year ago.tht time i thought its perfect due to tht i recommend my wife to buy tht.she got it 2 months ago but she is having many problem in it .sumtime it restart sumtime it shows sms sign.cammera quality is bad to as compare to mine.battery problem.she exchange tht twice but all has same problem.mine is working fine cammera is excellent as well as battery and other stuffs.we now send my wife phone back again and hopping dis time it should b sorted.i recommend now every one tht not to buy nokia n97 now caz but if u like it buy at ur own risk caz most of them are faulty.

Anonymous, 11 Apr 2010hey guys, is the n97 or n97 mini better; whats the differa... moredont knw the exact prices..but mini is cheaper...differences are N97 classic has a camera lens cover and fm transmitter..mini doesnt have them..I havent used the mini but personally I think mini is better since it has more C: drive memory than N97classic..Its kinda hard to manage the internal memory of classic one since it has only 73MB..go for the mini if you are new to symbian OS and lack of fm transmitter,lens cover and lesser mass memory is ok with you....

If you restore factory settings , the firmware version of the device will stay the same as before restoring factory settings , so there's nothing to worry about .

dani g, 11 Apr 2010and how can i do that?it rarely get viruses..you better hard reset your phone as I mentioned in my previous post..but make sure you backup yourimportant stuff before doing that..

But what is possible is some good firmware upgrade can manage the ram in a better way so that if no application is running, we might see atleast 75 mb. Now on my phone, it is only 55 Mb (when no application is running).
