Hi guys! The Nokia N97 is honestly the best phone I have ever had, mine is now nearly 3 years old, and I have to say I haven't exactly been kind to it.
Once I had bought a couple of extended batteries and installed a custom firmware the phone had been a blessing. Definately the best of the phones Nokia has released in the past few years from the intuitive keyboard layout (which I prefer over the mini's and the E7, which seems to cramped in my opinion) and huge amount of storage space, to the decent music player, and the nice codex support for MP4 video files (watch a few films on my way to work- hense the batteries :P ).
Of note is the camera, once you figure out the tricks, is simply great especially at 5mp! And once you install the right software (over the pre-installed stuff) such as Opera web browser, and Nimbuzz chat program, the phone simply becomes so much more.
I highly recommend this phone for it's simple ease of use, huge memory, great keyboard which makes typing a joy, the OS lets it down, but that can be fixed by installing a custom firmware, and some widgets :) I give this phone a score:
Performance : 6/10 (it is 4 years out of date now)
Storage : 10/10
Usability : 7/10
Special Features : 8/10 (the keyboard, and great camera)
Final Score : 7.75/10
Final Verdict and Personal Score : 8/10 Compared to the newest phones this is not the fastest any more, but it just keeps kicking, and it had all these features we are used to in smart phones before they became standard. Pick up for it's cheap price on ebay (£60-100) and it's great durability and ease to use. It even has speech recognition and can read texts to you as well :) Very good phone from Nokia!

iamjackee, 21 Jul 2012help! i been using this phone for a month now i just dont k... morei can also face problem but when factory reset is done everything is ok.

i would not recoment this phone at all.after some time of using it,you will face hell with an annoying prompt massage saying "not charging".and worse thing is 128ram can not handle 16gb.if you fill it with misic it will hang up a lot

Remember back 3 years ago when Nokia launched this device, all I can say was 'wow, impressive'. Right now, it can't even finish the first boot with Android ICS. lol

Nokia is just not worthy anymore for its handset... This device cost an arms and legs.. And its just a stupid handset... A real crap.. No flash plyer... Operating system is limited, U cant even go for Symbian belle. And it hangs now and then. Go for android as it's far better than symbian. I am gonna dump this handset.. If I just open three application it stops working.. And U can take as much pics as you want... After talking some pics its gonna hanged. I updated all the software and scanned for virus but this crap says Im just obstinate and will not work that way as u want..

hi! one week back i purchased a nokia n97 in seconds, when i take pictures with flash then flash spreads on camera lens and then the half of the picture comes blur,because of flash light spreads on cam lense. plz anyone help me how can i rectify it.

Where can i take my N97 for repairs on software? It keep on saying memoey is full but i can't see how full it is on PC so that i can move stuff out of it.

hi i purchased a nokia n97 in seconds. have a problem with my nokia n97. When i take pictures with flash tha flash light spread on the camera lens then the half pic captured in white colour because of flash lithgt spreads on lens, and remaining comes good please tell me whats the problem!

help! i been using this phone for a month now i just dont know why my phone keeps on saying "memory full closed some apps". my phone is empty and i havent download anything from ovi. and it says it has 32gb memory. ive used ramblow but doesnt effect! need some help. thank you.

my n97 will be restart again n again when i press side lock
