Someone claims to have millions and millions, but he spends his time on gsm arena.

    Everyone knows he's a liar.

No one in their right mind who is a multi millionare spends a lot of their time on here.

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2009should i get the n97 or the n900Most people will probably tell you the n900, mostly because of the instability issues that have plagued the n97. But how do you know that the n900 won't suffer the same sort of bug/instability issues? Price-wise, i think they're about the same. It depends what kind of user you are. The n900 would definitely suit the power user more, but its main disadvantages imo are that it doesn't have portrait view, looks like a brick, and its new os means that there won't be apps readily available. But it looks like it was made to multitask, and the maemo os looks fresher and more modern than the symbian os. The n97 is a good phone and would probably meet the needs of the average user. But i would also caution that you do need patience with this phone; it's not the most user-friendly device out there, and as i said many have had problems with bugs and instability. There is firmware due out soon which is supposed to go a long way to improving the phone. But it probably would be better to wait for the n900, because previews look amazing the reviews are very positive.

for those thinking of getting this phone, i would advise, like other users have said, to wait until the new firmware comes out. The upcoming firmware promises a hell of a lot, and preliminary reports have been positive on the whole, but the phone has had many problems and we probably shouldn't get our hopes up too high. If you really can't wait and want the phone now, try it out before you buy it and be patient with it! Otherwise, wait for the firmware...or the n900.

I am a staunch Nokia user and I have to say, I'm disappointed with this phone. Apart from having a hell of a lot more storage, it's not that different from the N95, which in itself was not a great handset.

Was in the Apple store recently and contemplated buying an iPhone, it's just to much easier to use. The Nokia touch screen is a bit slow and cumbersome.

Was using my old E66 for a while and for sheer size and style, it's a hard one to beat.

I'll stick with it for a while, but don't think I'll be holding onto it for much longer!!

Come on Nokia, you can do a lot better.

Last week, Nokia said its share of the global smartphone market slipped to 35 percent in the third quarter, from 41 percent in the second, as its competitors Apple and Research In Motion, the maker of the BlackBerry, gained.

hey you guys. I have had my N97 for nearly 3 months now and it works perfectly. I have not experienced any bad things about it. Are you all sure that you have bought the real N97 with the real software?? To me I have never had any problems. Not with the lens, the software or anything else.

I myself will give feedback if the 'new and improved firmware' does really 'improve' the N97's perfomance as I'm not yet fully satisfied with my N97.
