Just got mine yesterday, and so far I just don't see what people are complaining about. Still waiting for major problem to arise, nothing so far.
Yep! I'm a happy N97 user, shock horror!

it's been 2 monthly i use this phone.every thing was alright until somedaywhen i use the camera and video frequently in one day i lost all data.
i went to nokia costumer care for upgrading the software from version10 to version 11.,,but the standard application include from n97 such as kompas.com,accuwheather were gone!if not, i couldn't open it even uploading photo in FaceBook, was a difficult on.
there also,come hidden files filling drive C,whereas all of the data is on the drive E:mass memory and i've never use it as a transferred data from PC,so so i think is not b'cause viruses.but is all bout a software i think.
the photo result are also amful since upgrading software,there's some kind of grey effect.
then,what should i do???
.........please give me some advice.......
once again questions....why nokia license Asia is now made by china and not made by finland anymore...is there any effect of that my problem???

All n97 features are supported by an incredibly strong 1500 mah battery.

Im always switching phones, new personal record was wihin a year from the n96 to the n97. I like the 96 but hate phones with no QWERTY keyboard. Other then that the phone is good, I just cant stand the SMS on it. I was spoiled by iphone for a while with its set up for SMS. They do have a program called conversation but its for S60 3rd and not the 5th, which the n97 runs on. Once theses dates are made, which was about a year for the n96, I will enjoy it even more.
Also if anyone is wondering about the tv out. The N97 does have the feature, you just need the cord.

I have 2 differant navigation systems on my n97 and google maps as well.Everything runs well.

N97 runs good on firmware 12. 2.0 is on the way with a lot of added features,including voip. Its nice to be able to transmit your music from your n97 to your home stereo on an fm station without wires or having to Dock it. 90.1 fm and you can still go thru your menu on your phone or view photos.

There is a TV out on N97. just go to Menu>settings>Phone>Accessories>TV-Out
in these menu you can setup
TV Aspect ratio (Normal/wide)
TV System (PAL/NTSC)
Flicker filter (ON/OFF)
after you have set this up you can use the TV-Out cable and attach it to your TV. The sad thing is that this cable is no longer included on the sales package. You need to buy this cable from the cellphone shop

Again, N97 has no TV Out in the Nokia Philippines website. the mini has TV Out. What's going on with Nokia phones these days? First the 5800 has TV Out removal then the 6220 classic and now this?

I dont know abt u!!!Features is not just the wi-fi or the GPS but the total of what the phone does! The software of N97 is the same with the OLD 6260,6600,6680... and all the S60 series... phones more than 5 years old!!! Its unacceptable for a 500 euros phone. It Doesnt save AUTOMATICLY anything u recieve meanwhile and u CANT see who send u a message before opening it!!!Things that 6600i, that "has no new features" does Maybe WI-FI and GPS are important to u... but auto save and know who text me before i open the msg is important TO ME!!!

no 3d hardware is fine, 434 MHz means goood batter life
128 run two apps at a time
symbian os third apps are useful an have no restriction
better than n900! N900 big , ugly heavy, and immature maemo
n97 with firmware 2 rocks!!!
My partner will get me black n97 at Xmas:))))))))))))))
hope n98 build on n97!!!!!!!!

I got mine just a week ago after reading all the reviews for over half a year :-) and I am fully satisfied, I got 16 GB extra memory and it's already full and it works great and without any bugs with the firmware update, thanx Nokia.
