This phones sucks big time full of bugs. Nothing in the phone is free even Nokia Messaging is useable only for 30 days. The in built email system sucks big time no html support. Ovi maps also have to pay yearly. Full of unwanted apps that can't be erased or delete and takes up most of your phone memory which was needed for browsing and emails 70mb phone memory but with all thi crap unwanted and have to pay and cannot be deleted apps you are left only 20mb. Hangs like nobody business. This is the WORST PHONE EVER!!!! Will never buy Nokia EVER AGAIN.

    Im due for an upgrade from 3 in two weeks, can any1 tell if i get the n97 straight from the 3store is updatin the firmware possible? im hearin people havin problems with updatin when they get them straight from the networks, any help would be appreciated.

        I am having a problem with the phone. GPS is not connecting, its 2 weeks old but has been rebooted a couple of times. 32gig is just amazing, camera is also wonderful. I wish this was an Eseries instead of the notorious Nseries.
        I like it anyway.

          r u sure u got the original N97?!?! the sound on this device is outstanding... everything is excellent in this device nothing is wrong with it...

          if it is with warranty go take it to Nokia Care Center man they should fix ur problem...

            I hav just brought n97,this phn sux.coz loud speakers are really low.realy low,camera is same as n95 8gb.not eais to use with finger need stuly... Im still love nokia n95 8gb.that rocks.n97 is ok,not good as n95 8gb.

                I have been using this phone for about 2 months, it is pretty nice but sometimes when i try to open the weather application (only from the front screen) it dose not respond, I must go through applications and open it normaly.

                what do you think?

                  If ur expecting a swift, eye candy, pleasure to use touch screen device. Stay away with this and wait for the model next to it in the future. The processor is just so dumb slow. Don't fill 10 gigs of data if u want it to perform normally even with v12 firmware. Sold mine and bought n86, I lost some buck but its worthwhile, just can't stand the slowness of this mobile. Common Nokia u can do better or should I be back to SE with Satio.

                        Thanks for your advice guys, its still quite hard to decide as nokia has admitted to their mistakes and improved on the phones software versions to fix these errors.

                        I am still a bit confused as so many users tell me I should consider getting one and so many say I shouldn't

                        On contract this phone is still alot cheaper than the htc touch pro 2.

                        I think i will leave it to my wife to decide, think she'll go for the tp2 or blackberry bold.

                            I have bought a N97 and no doubt to say that it rocks....I am a n series lover....but i am having a little problem with my n97.it gets switched off when i dont use the the set for 2 or 3 hours lets say when i am in sleep.So this is really bothering me.Can anyone plz help me out...?????

                              N86 and N97 are like N82 and N95 8GB two years ago. N86, just like N82, is a camera-centric device, has better camera but smaller display and battery than N97. N97, just like N95 8GB, is dubbed as a true multimedia computer/all-in-one device, has much larger screen and battery but worse camera. Just like N82 and N95 8GB, everything else between N86 and N97 is pretty much the same except the camera, form-factor, screen, mass memory and battery.

                                Is anybody experiancing some scratched on the camera lense? from the slide???

                                if somebody knows if there is any SB from Nokia concerning this issue and if it is covered on the warranty.

                                        Who ever would have thought that the number one CAMERA uploading to Flickr would be a phone.

                                        Well done iPhone it's obvious that the camera does an excellent job without marketing bells and whistles.

                                        Gee those forums on the N97 don't seem to be full of very happy people, I guess Nokia is paying for their mediocraty.
