As i s... more-videos and photos takes too long to open
-slow buggy phone
-no smart dialing
-underpowered cpu
-No DivX or XviD support
-Limited 3rd party software availability
-No office document editing.
-Resistive touchscreen only
-Games are not impressive
-Touchscreen User Interface requires more tuning
-Navigational buttons not the easiest
-Poor ergonomic keyboard design
-Has an annoying loud sound when closing the keyboard
-Dont have that elegant look
-Not a head turner like iphone and other smartphones

I bought n97 a week ago.it`s ok.it`s fine.but little slow.but i have one problem with lock button.sometimes when i unlock the device with button,the back light is dark.then i have to lock gain and unlock again.can any body tell me how can i fixed it?is it fixed wth soft ware update with new firmware?
have anyone this problem??can you fix it??

I bought one a week ago. Used it extensively - it can do a lot for it's size, BUT I am using my E90 again, and the kids will get the N97. It just don't make it aaginst the E90 OR the iPhone!

Does the Piece hang like other phones like N96 and N91 as well. is that feature included in this phone.

I want the options to be easaly used, that it doesn't get confused, wifi networks, i heard there is a problem there?

I have seen about all Nokias and this one is the first Nokia that really impressed me, i am planning on Buying it but not shure since i have read all your comments, i do want some advice before i am gonna buy this phone.
What do i really need to know before i buy it?

i have been making alot of research about the N97, and i find it a very good device... so i am thinkin of buying it this weekend...

I had the same problem.... all N97 have but when I upgraded to the latest Firmware version that problem was long gone... and other problems camealong :)
Dont Worry, its a great device, update to Firmware V11 and the screen back light will be fine. It will take one or 2 more upgrades to make it perfect so be patient.
The biggest problem is the screen light does not come on when u tap the screen. It should and it ays so in the catalogue. So everytime you have to press a button to light it up...

nokia is my life..........no other manufacturer can produce such phone
