CC, 08 Jun 2009I want to replace my camera, GPS and phone with the N97: B... moreGps on mobile phones are usually linked up to the internet using the mobile network so you always have upto date maps and traffic updates this is why you pay a monthly subscription if you are a frequant traveler its the most comprehensive service out there 100x better than a stand alone service like navman or tom tom. Hope this helps

            Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Camera: N86 (8MP vs 5MP)
Internet: N97 (Bigger screen, better res., touch, QWERTY)
            Music: N97 (32GB vs 8GB)
Games: Tie (N86 has bigger library, but N97 has more potential)

128 MB Ram!!! 434 Mhz CPU clock!!! I'm very disappointed! Im a Nokia fan since 1998, and this product not says up the Nokia's name! At this time where all mobile constructors put high speed processor and big ram in they products, the 1st shows us a low spec. product, seen as the most desired smartphone in the world!! Wake up Nokia! U can do better and are knew like this! This phone is not to be congratulated. Peraps Nokia reserves a surprise like N95 with the N95 8GB??? I dont know, i dont know!!! Im very disappointed...

One thing I'm skeptic about is the N97's touch UI. If its the same thing as like that on the 5800(which, by the way is no where near the industry standard-the iphone), then it is going to be a huge disappointment. I really hope Nokia gets its act right this time after the debacle of the much hyped N96......

The thing I hate most is unproductive forum where people with no experience whatsoever post ridiculous stuff and talk about things that they actually don't know what they are yet and how these stuff will be compared with other gadgets that are already in the market or still to come. Anyways, I'm planning on getting me an N97 I won't say its cool or brilliant, I'll have to wait and see.

I want to replace my camera, GPS and phone with the N97: BUT...Why does the GPS on any mobile phone cost money to maintain, whereas with a normal GPS like Navman, you just by the GPS and there's nothing more to pay, ever, unless you opt for the upgrades! Can someone please xpelain this to me? Please.
