The internal memory is probably the best thing spec wise about the N97 compared with its competitors. This is both good and bad news.

I need to thank Nokia for not making the Ovi Store as dominant as the App Store, as I'd feel very restricted in that case. There's only one company that restricts its fans that much, and that is Apple.

if there is an N97 update offer like this

      1. Providing users options to choose flick scroll or scroll bar(currently both are used in N97, what a ugly combination)
      2. Full virtual keyboard when the slide-out keyboard is closed, it is useful sometime when we are using one hand to type.
      3. Multitouch/Multitouch-like software for Web/Photo/Text(Palm Pre and LG can have it despite Apple Patents)
      4. Much improved web browser.
      5. Official Skype doing Video Call over Wifi/3G
      6. Redesign the default official ugly icons and themes, how about a contest for Nokia Icons/theme

and N97i, i would like to see Capacitive screen, Cortex A9 512ram, 8MP 3Xoptical zoom and Xenon, and add Stantum Multitouch techology:), then it is the best phone and can sell good for 10 years after launch.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2009From the New York Times : The Ovi Store offered 173 applic... moreThere is a huge difference here. Ovi stands for less than 1% of all Symbian apps, while App Store stand for all (yes, 100%) apps availible for Iphone. This is a huge limitation for sure!

I want to be able to download non-dependent software, which I wouldn't be able to on an Iphone.

Seriously, you can't compare Symbian apps vs Iphone apps, unless you're completly biased. It's like comparing N97's camera with Iphone's camera...

From the New York Times :
The Ovi Store offered 173 applications for the 5800, including a mere 50 free apps. For the E75, Nokia offered 226 apps, for the N85, 263.

The iPhone has more than 35,000 apps. The company won’t say how many are free, but the figure is almost certainly in the thousands. BlackBerry’s recently introduced App World store has more than 1,000 apps, and many of those are also free.

So i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I mean if symbian has this app.

One thing I like about Nokia is that they support anyone everywhere, unlike Samsung.

Samsung sucks for European countries without the euro currency. Compare Omnia HD price with N97 price in Sweden, and then in any other euro-country!

It's no wonder why Samsung is lagging behind in Sweden... because they really do.
