N86 has some good hardware features like 28mm carl-zeiss lens, 3rd gen dual-leds and variable aperture. I hope nokians are kind enough to include software features like face/smile/blink detection. Then other 8mpx contenders will have to run for there money.
Mp4@30fps is enough but d1rec, slow mo rec, fast forward rec like the omnia hd is also expctd.

If they put that 3 watt led in camfones all the people you have just photographed would be off to the eye clinic..

brynn, 18 May 2009What happened to the new generation leds that were supposse... moreNokia claims that the dual led's used in the n86 are third generation led's which can spread light upto 3 meters. But again, sometime back, they claimed that the loud speaker on the 5800 are the loudest on the market. They are pretty loud during ringtones but while playing music, thay just arent loud enough.
But the claims for the led's are written on the specs sheet, so may be it is true.

Even a real camera sucks the battery dry using xenon and takes a while to charge up the capacitor... I suppose the best answer is to use both but it will make the device bigger and cost more..

Good scenario to compare with, 5800, cost at around 19,900 when released then dropped to 15,900 a month after.

Also, i dont understand why most people say that n97 is a successor of n95. Just bcoz both are 5mpx?? The reason for choosing 5mpxs is that nokia isn't running behind mpxs, they rather prefer developing the software at the moment. And that is the most imp part of any device.
Where are the others heading?? One day we will realise that we have 100mpx. What then?? Run for 200.
Presently more people prefer 3.2 to 5mpx and thats why we dont see an 8mpx in nokia n9x series. They just wait for the right time to release the product and when they do, its a hit(most of them not all). I like their strategies.
I think 5mpx with a good interface is more than enough. Omnia has a good camera interface.
