well KNOWLEDGEABLE* facts are:

Windows Mobile is just a new name of windows CE that have been released and developing since 1996. so 13 years, so 10 Vs 13 Symbian win
2- won't argue with your first point, no one can say a successful system is more secure that the other, cause the dominated system will always have more people attempting to attack and make viruses for it. its just like saying linux or mac is more secure than windows cuz it has less viruses, if linux/mac were the dominated systems most hacker/programmers will make the viruses on then and will try to find security flaws on them not windows, they want their virus to hit the biggest amount of peaple.

On a 200MHz processor" "our test"? who did the test i thought you want KNOWLEDGEABLE facts. i did not see such a test but if their is one that compares the 2 on 200 processor , please the link. hence most mobile users don't care about your cpu for programs its a mobile phone not a P.C.

developers choose what system they want to develop to, "new applications" i can make a program that runs on whatever system i want. you write your own code not the OS.

"comfortable" who defines that? the user. not you alone. symbian mail functions is more than i need, so thats in the end upto the user, there is no KNOWLEDGEABLE facts for this.

oh then why develop WinMo? can use windows XP, it does not have all personal computer capabilities maybe some , so does symbian. handsets are mini PCs that have all the main parts of a P.Cs.

Fact1: Symbian has about 100 customisable components which makes it the most flexible software..

Fact2: Symbian is in the business for 10years more than windows. Windows has just(2years or so) entered mobile world which is different from pc's..

Fact3: symbian has support for office documents(word, excel, pdf, powerpoint) even editing.(free for e-series and charged for others) as opposed to wht your friend said...
TRUE AGREED... For most u got to pay for it!!!
Fact4: 80% people prefer symbian over other mobile os's for the ease of MULTITASKING and user friendlyness.
NOT SO TRUE, Symbian does have a high number of customers but 80%...lol, i see u like to make your own statistics a bit higher than it should lol
So, the guy has point when he says that winmo is for proffesionals and symbian is for kids?????
WELL...NOT REALLY, he went too far with that one...
Ok i'll give you one more chance...tell me a few things that ur winmo can do but symbian cant. (please dnt be foolish enough to mention applications).
APPLICATIONS u right, .... LOL, WinMo can even mimick a Symbian OS or IPhone

original nokia website are selling phones made in china to cut cost..if you dont believe me call nokias flagship store in new york @ 212.758.1980 and ask them for yourself where is a u.s version n96, 5800, n85, n79, n78, and they will tell you

1.Microsoft's operating system for 'smart phones', the Windows Mobile Phone Edition, is more secure and more efficient than the Symbian platform. We need efficiency and the Symbian platform is not really designed for that. Windows Mobile is quite a bit more efficient and has fewer overheads in those areas. Also, with memory management there are much better options in Windows Mobile to manage and isolate application memory.
2.Processor speeds of Symbian devices are quite low but tests shown that the Windows platform performs better on a like processor. On a 200MHz processor, core functions we need for real time audio performed better on the Windows platform than they did on Symbian.

im not a nokia hater, but these specs are absolutely ridiculous wtf this is suppose to be THE flagship, from here on out i will not throw away my hard earned money on china made crap like i did on n85 there is only one good phone made by nokia from finland.. E71

Coz i didnt see any, may... moreiphone OS is better than Symbian and winmo because it's a modern OS not weighed down by a whole lot of cr*p, even Palm is using the browser software from it to make their whole OS, Nokia is using WebKit, Google is using WebKit which is just part of iPhone OS.
Then there are the Apps which are full on and hardcore, they just released Myst which is a 767Mb download, let's see you install that on Symbian!
