I just didn't find it useful enough for my needs, i.e. using email and the web 99% of the time, besides I was sick to death of the annoying Symbian interfaces and the constant pauses when switching between applications, browsing the gallery etc.
Now it's a spare which sits at home.
Of my two phones, which do you think would have the highest resale value?

This phone was not designed to be a piece of junk. The specs that it has are meant to run everything the phone is capable of doing. For those nerds out there who want to push it to the limit, just build your own _____ phones.
Still, I think it's too expensive to fight against the iPhone and I own an iPhone and I hate it.

They are coming but not until next year at the earliest, they are still at the development stage.

Nokia i am turely dissappointed in you of the spec for you n97. I was even hoping that i would have 192 ram and arm-11 mpcore 528 mhz processor (a single core with 4 core(quad core))could help graphic for game instead 434 mhz and 128 ram. Please tell this isnt so. nokia n96 fail why build a sucessor that come on? Need anwser ?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970its not the matter of OS windows or symbian reading from mememory does not require a super cpu power 60MHz is more than enough to read a 160GB HDD , the Ipods has 160GB HDD yet their CPU is 90MHz could u tell me why there fast??????
as i said if u use a file browsing software it will be fast reading the files. but th gallary used in nokia phone has to do more processing cuz it make small thumpbs and other thing and thats the only reason it gets slower when u add more files, if u make ur files in folder and organize them and don't put a huge number of files in one folder it won't ever be slow.
windows 98 can be run on a 200 Mhz with a 120 GB HDD
reading from an HDD or a memeroy card is just reading the filesystem table which indecates where the files at. don't come here and say stuff u don't know smartphones are just a new kinde of coputing devices

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Processor speed is not the only matter. Other things need to be considered among of which are FSB ram clock speed, caches, heat output, energy consumption etc to name a few. As u can see that a mobile phone has very narrow tolerances about heat dissipation and battery usage; the specs may look similar but performance-wise there's a lot of difference. Try to compare detailed hw specs of a win98 pc and nokia N95.

Believe me, all the Nokia fans are angry for Nokia, I read this information yesterday! What do you think, why are the peoples angry? About the CPU of course, I read this thing, and is true. All the fans hoped for a 600 MHZ CPU, not for 434. Is better than the W960 is logic, but not better than Idou!!!!!Idou is the best, and SE!!! In 2006,7,and 8 Nokia lead the market, but now the Entertainment Unlimited umbrela arrived, and maybe the things will change!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Exemple the Sony Ericsson W960 is slow if you put only 5 Gb of music, and the whole memory is 8 GB, and has 208 CPU. The N97 has only 434 CPU, and 32 GB, and will be slow. A computer is a computer bro, and a mobile phone is a mobile phone. Windows 98 is a Windows, and not Symbian. Symbian is just for mobile phones, and is DIFFERENT from Windows. And I don't think your information is 100% true, the Pentium 2 computer has 600 MHZ, and only 20 GB hard disk, if I know right(maybe this is a lie, this thing I don't know coz I am not a computermaster) And I sad this phone is good!!!! And this is my opinion about the phone!!! Is logic this phone is better than exemple the LG Arena, or a smartphone. I hope the N98 will be faster than this one.

Nokia taken off the 3d graphic chip and used single cpu instead of dual cpu did improved a lot of the battery life,
