i cant believe this! what the hell is wrong with u all? PC vs Mac, Intel vs AMD, Nvidia vs ATI, Windows vs Linux (oh and Leopard), PlayStation vs XBox and now Nokia vs Apple? how much mentally disturbed are you to defend with religious fanatism a multinational company? i only care to what fits for me and not to be fooled in buying a fancy product which wont cover my needs. i prefer multifunctional and customizable devices in reasonable prices and also i hate following a trend so for the time being i choose PC vs Mac=PC, Intel vs AMD=Always AMD, Nvidia vs ATI=Always ATI, Windows vs Linux=both, PS3 vs Xbox=PC and finally Nokia vs Apple=Nokia symbian s60 series for now simply because it is more familiar to me,much more time around the market,many more functions and it is not a trend as iPhone is.But these are just my tastes and opinions nothing more or less.I also hate iPod (even when it came out there where better mp3 players in the market -and cheaper- especially from SonicBlue).In the future though i will seriously consider the iPhone but along with HTC,LG,Samsung,Sony-Er,Gigabyte etc and of course Nokia.As for the sales drop for Nokia it should be and it is healthy,no company should dominate a market indefinitely for various reasons.And that was not(just) because of the iPhone or any drop of quality from Nokia but also because of LG/Samsung highest design and quality standards,Sony-E cheap and beautiful mid range models,HTCs high quality/design on high-end and Gigabyte relatively cheap smartphones etc in the last years.In the end no harm done,just choose what you like and dont fight for meaningless things.

No wonder the comes with music is such a fail, it adds a huge cost to the outright price of the handset, it expires in a year and Nokia is very tight lipped about what happens after and you can't even use the "free" music as a ringtone.
Meanwhile Apple sold 11,000,000 iPods in the last quarter, I wonder how many were in the UK?

just another reason why nokia will become the next motorola. even on their region nokia is losing to apple. i was going to get the n97 but why bother when i can get the new iphone 3.0 in june or july.
Nokia took to long to release the n97 and now they are suffering for it ha ha.

Apple today announced financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2009. Apple posted revenue of $8.16 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.21 billion, or $1.33 per diluted share, compared to revenue of $7.51 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.05 billion, or $1.16 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 36.4 percent, compared to 32.9 percent in the year-ago quarter, and international sales accounted for 46 percent of the quarter's revenue. The numbers represent the best March Quarter revenue and earnings in Apple history.
Using non-GAAP data, which eliminates subscription-based accounting for the iPhone and Apple TV, Apple would have had $9.06 billion revenue and $1.66 billion of net income.
Apple shipped 2.22 million Macintosh computers during the quarter, a unit decline of 3 percent over the year-ago quarter. The company also sold 11.01 million Pods during the quarter, representing 3 percent unit growth over the year-ago quarter. Quarterly iPhone unit sales reached 3.79 million, up 123 percent from the year-ago-quarter.

I think we have fotgotten something ! nokia after several years produce somthing like I phone , but its still thick . the design of n97 is great but if we want to compare with i phone , i think the technology of apple production is the best.

you people, this says nokia n97, not iphone, so lets only make constructive critisims here about the nokia n97 please, so all you iphone fans, GET AWAY!!!!!! nokia is the largest handset maker in the world, and they are the best phones i have ever used, iphone is a small fry compared to them. btw, the n97 is 10times better, because it doesnt require apps to be great, unlike iphone!!!
