Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970It's got Wolfenstein 3D from John Carmack at ID software, Doom and Quake will be next, some guy hacked up Quake for Symbian the N97 won't even run it just like the n96 can't.
You may as well get an N95 Nokia's peak, now they are going downhill.

GO!Sad little N97 with it's dinky little yellow video out plug, old composite video out from the eighties, at least my iPhone can output component video red, green and blue plug for seperate colours as is standard since DVD players replaced the old VCR's.
Composite, just the thing to show your boring home movies to your grandparents on their old TV's.
Get with the times Nokia the Sameung Omnia HD has HDMI out.

ironically nokia websites are always last to sell there own phones, mobile city online is releasing n97 on may 13 for $799 euro version and $899 for u.s version but no release date on that one

guys???wtf??? if everyone is so obsessed with the apps from the appstore y not just buy an itouch since the iphone itself is kinda crap. my aunt has one and we cant even call her cos the phone is so bad at picking up signals. anyway this is about the n97 not iphone. u cant compare iphone to a phone thats not even released yet. this is just pointless. T_T

I think the N86 will be released before the N97, you know why? because on their website there is no "coming soon".. which means that the phone might be still not ready to be released anytime soon. I give it August for the release day.

They drop their Nokia, Blackberry Storm or whatever phone they were looking at and buy an iPhone.
I work in a phone store and iPhone's are still selling well, they are the most reliable phones we sell. Apple's support is the best, Nokia(don't)Care can really learn from them.
But what would you know, your ignorant blathering shows you've never used Apple Apps.

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2009Unfortunately they do not have a choice because big brother... moreThere are already millions of iPhone's in China, Apple is still negotiating with two companies there, the main one wants control of an App store, Apple says No besides they would have to make a CDMA version as the network isn't ready.
The second company in China is almost ready to start rolling out iPhone's.
Nokia doesn't have to worry the Chinese will still buy their 1100's 1650's and other cheap phones.
Nokia should stick with what they're best at cheap, basic phones for peasants and leave the smartphones to the smart players.
How long are they going to keep rolling out N95's with new stuff tacked on?
