Hey just wondering if when it comes to msgn you get the option of choosing between the qwerty key board and an on screen keyboard (if there even is an on screen keyboard)?

nasser, 06 Apr 2009yes always Nokia behind Sony EricssonYeah after SonyEricsson introduced Bluetooth on the T39 it took ages for Nokia to introduce it on an upgraded 6210 (the cyber silver model), even then it only worked with a Nokia Bluetooth which had a wire on it, really dumb!
They also copied triband and GPRS from the T39.

Nokia are followers of popular trends others start and always have been.
Motorola Razr becomes popular- Nokia release a flipphone after many years (a pretty dumb one you couldn't open it with the headphones plugged in... LOL).

checked the Carphone Warehouse website out an on phones coming out soon the N97 an 6700 will be available in April,just hope this news is right,as i bought the 5800 express to get used to touch screen mobiling an i really like it,an the Screen sizes for images an videos its magic an if the N97 as the type of speakers on it like the 5800 express the N97 it will be good for music,an the only letdown of the 5800 is its camera so hope Nokia do not let everybody down an put a weak camera on the N97, an put one on the same as the N95 8gb one,then this will show Samsung an Sony Ericsson they will never leave Nokia behind with any mobile they release

To all the ipod ops I mean iphone user :p first off phone sux no hardware atall no gps gotta use google maps like wata hell nd on top u need data oh nd u can't have multiple apps open bc iphones memory can't handle more then 1 app...on the other hand nokia r known for multi taskin have as many apps open at the same time witout aorriyin abt closing them got a gps with real maps no google bull..*nd the internet supports all flash online unliek stupid iphone no flash only youtube mobile loll go try openin youtube.com let's c who's browser opens the site anyways this is a reply for all the iphone users get off nokia and go bac nd sit inside ur forums for ur ipod I mean iphone 3G lol only fone pineapple ever made..sad

They stick to making serious business tools and not glorified toys or Gimmicks.
i hope the N97 does not have a host problems as when the E90 was launched?

i like your idea on lowering the memory to lower the price. my wish would then be at least 2GB internal memory so there would be a massive decrease in the price. i couldn't even consume the 2GB micro sd memory on my N82, so i don't really need that much memory.
other wish!! Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz CPU on board.. since they didn't announced the CPU for this phone yet.

3.Typing aid for typing on the Virtual Full Qwerty Keyboard, I have found that typing speed on 5800XM cant keep up with my typing speed, is it because there is no multitouch feature on Nokia touch?

1. 3d HD ACC/GPU

3. infrared:( not likely to happen
4. 16GB version to lower the price
5. Glass screen for resistive screen:( not possible for resistive, how about a quality scratch-resistant plastic?
6. hope the build quality is excellent, and its whole plastic body is scratch-resistant and not the shiny one. I hate ipod touch 2g shiny metal back, it is impossible to keep it from scratches:)
7.two more months to go! WOW!!! i predict 24 June, cause 24 june 2008 nokia announces the acquisition of Symbian company. perhaps they make a new announcement to acquire Stantum?

As in my n95 i have a program where i can use my phone as a remote control because i have infrared, your iphone can't do that can it. No infrared on the iphone or n97.

Anonymous, 05 Apr 2009I can swap SIM's on my iPhone without switching it off! ... moreMost people don't have 2 sim cards, as in 2 seperate numbers or 2 cell phone plans,unless it's your wifes sim card, so i don't think thats much of an issue. My understanding was that the sim was very difficult to take out of the iphone, unless that was the first iphone.

Nokia have done a good job on N97, developments on its UI and software have greatly improve and by the time it comes out, it will be a full pledge force to reckon with.
What they are doing now is stepping up to Apple's game, massive promotion, creating hype and there doing it effectively. N97 just like iPhone don't have the Hardware specs as Omnia HD or Idou but it will throw up its competition just like what iPhone is doing to the smartphone market. This would bring N97 to the top even defeating iPhone in the end.
