This phones seems good but in comparisons to the Samsung Omnia HD the Nokia N97 falls behind.
The Omnia HD looks very impressive! and there have been many teaks to the mobile since it was first shown at the Mobile Congress.
Both phones are very expensive but the Omnia Hd seems the better for its UI and AMOLED screen and its packed with features.
Nokia seems to have many software issues... well with the models I have had anyway, I N95, N96 both of which had to be sent for replacement due to faults!! Lets hope they iron these out for the N97.

they can't apply TouchPack to capasitive cause it uses dectects pressure so capasitive is way off man
that why plastic is key in resesitive cause you can push it and it's flexable
you were to over your head my friend lol you didn't really see why stantum only can use plastic and resesitive technology

you cant work with capacitive!
the official skype on iphone lacks one great feature, that is the voipover 3G

Stantum's technology is a software-based refinement to resistive touchscreens, but it can also be compatible with capacitive if they wanted to do it. they are only developing it to resistive because resistive is cheaper than capacitive. it will cost them less, but it can also be developed to capacitive if they wanted, but it will cost them much. what you believed is definitely wrong. resistive is no better than capacitive, you only saw the demo and believe that it was 100% resistive touch. No No gentlemen, its only a refinement, an add on to it, to improve it... try reading and searching more about it before you say things.

There is a charge if you call a landline or cell phone. Skype to Skype is free! BTW, the loudspeaker on the n95 is significantly louder than the iphone. I checked it out at the fido store in the mall. I called my service provider on my n95 and the iphone. Turned volume up on both and it was noisy in the mall. Had to put the iphone loudspeaker which is at the bottom close to my ear to hear it, while my n95 could hear fine away from me.

Ps they are cheaper voip apps available all depending on where u live so being forced to us skype is a shame.

got to see new video reviews on Omnia HD and all i can say is that, it fails to impress amidst its specs hahaha.. its doomed!! that's the problem with putting up to much stuff on a phone, make a buzz of it but couldn't lived up with the expectation!! its a mess!!
N97 did not promise a lot of things that's for the time being it has exceed peoples expectation with a lot of tweaks going on for the couple of months and that will make a big difference.
