A wifi connection or data plan is also needed as data charges can be high.

Nokia is still finalizing arrangements with Hello Kitty and Mattel (Barbie) as this is a little girls phone, like a fat webslider.

N97 claims to have the power of a desktop PC which is true. I'm pretty sure SE fans would consider buying this.
Idou has 12MP yet has an unreasonable hefty price tag. Most likely to be ABOVE thousand dollars.
Obviously it is only a camera phone and it's a fact that digital cameras are still a lot better.

For people who compares this to Omnia HD? wake up dudes, your barking on the wrong tree. N97 is targeted to a different market segment. For people who loves professional messaging, business, multimedia, web services among others ocmbined to one, this phone fits big time. it will combine iPhone and blackberry into one. Omnia HD targets iphone and idou alone and their not in the same leg.

mike brown 25211238 , 27 Mar 2009who cares what mega pix the cam is... buy a digi cam... its... morepeople are asking for so much because of the rumoured prices(over $1000 US), are you willing to pay that much for a phone for just it's looks+memory? don't think we should judge until the final product comes out with a real price tag. But simply from the specs given/rumours i don't think i would be paying that much for this phone. i heard(rumour) that the n97 will be using an overclocked Arm 11 processor similar too the e71 instead of using the newer processor, the TI OMAP 3 which is more power efficient and has faster cpu speeds. Hope Nokia will be smart and make the necessary adjustments for people that don't have such deep pockets, or even if the price is really that high, atleast make the phone worth while.

gobedhu, 27 Mar 2009i just buy a n97 from dhubai its v nice..This Nokia n97 smartphone has NOT released anywhere, so how can buy it in Dubai? It could be a fake phone. By the way, what is the CPU speed on your phone?
