Pity about the camera! It should be the same as the N86-8mp. Nokia should incorporate the 8mp in this phone and it will be the perfect phone!

A gaping loophole in Android operating system on the T-Mobile G1 has been exploited by hackers who managed to jailbreak the Google phone. Although they do say that this jailbreak isn’t as impressive as the one that took place on Apple’s iPhone, which took several weeks for the hackers to get though the locks that was placed on the iPhone, the T-Mobile G1 open-source operating system only took the hackers one minute to gain root access, although you would reckon you would have to be a Linux geek to do it this fast.
You can see the hack for the G1 on the XDA-Developers forum, basically you use the PTerminal application to telnet to the device’s IP address and just like magic you how have the root, you can full steps on this hack here.
With this jailbreak it will allow to run your T-Mobile G1 like it was never intended to be. Google have said they are planning a patch that will be distributed to close the loophole.

Do you think Multitouch really can not be released officially? Will nokia hacks 5800 and n97 firmware and upload it to Hacker:)
i hope the hacker hack the firmware not just develope a standalone program!

I've been waiting too for this baby and i was really impressed even though it won't be the best one on the market. Im nokia fan for a very long time and i was rly heated up for this one but eventually few days ago i saw brand new phone SE Idou which is amusingly good! I will only say, Symbian OS, 3.5inch, 12MP camera with xenon flash.. i won't be that interesting if i tell u all ;) Take a look at that baby. I made my decision and ill be waiting for that one, which means i won't buy this nokia. Only if nokia makes some phone which could compete or even to be better than SE Idou.

Some smart guy has come up with some multitoucj games for 5800! But i need pinch to zoom in nokia web browser and photo veiewing progeam!!!! I hope you all need it too.

8M... more8,10 and 12 Mp are too much for a phone to handle 3.2 and 5 maybe just 8 is enought but damn man 10 and 12 might as well just use the phone as a perment camera since the battery life will drain and die out as soon as you call,Inet,WiFi or even record XD
that's why i'm glad Nokia usually makes 1.3 ,2,3.2 and 5 on there phones and now 8 i hope they don't go any higher cause MP race in phones is just a gimmick and not cool

8MP, 12MP - yea, if you are taking photos for billboards.
5MP is more than enough - the manufacturers must focus on 'focus' and optical zoom. More megapixels are not the same thing as more storage space or bandwidth guys. The human eye can only recognize so many pixels - yet it can recognise out of focus picels.
This phone is great, yet the Nokia camera's are not. They perform poorly in bad light and when taking pictures of objects far away. Yet - I dare you to find another phone woth similar or more tech goodies!

I've been waiting for this phone for ever now. it was suppose to be released sooner. I have Sony Ericsson P1 right now, I love it. but the phone is getting old, and I'll wait till the N97 comes out. I think it's gonna be the best phone in the market.

The speaker problem with the 5800 wasn't obvious until after it's launch.
