Anonymous, 17 Feb 2009Is it like a new os version or is a completl diff thing?they got rid of alot of small stuff in 3.2 for 5th and it's a big change i like it alot and right now i'm trying to make Nokia's first FPS game on the 5th Platform or i guess any XD Symbian Platform LOL

U kno im sick of this so se has a 12mp phone and samsung has 1 that can record n hd so wat those phones are g at wat they do . .. but every 1 is nt into takin photos and neither are they making movies wit vids they record from there phone, but neither of these phone's have 32gd onboard memory either, nor do the have a digital compass, nor do they offer upnp, or they offer a hardware keyboard which increases size but also makes blogin and posting online messages easier than that of a full touch screen phone nor do they offer an fm transmitter nor do they offer nokia maps, nor do they offer a home screen that can be modified the way the n97 can be nor do they offer wigets on the home screen that can be customized, . . . . . the list goes on, and i can bet u that a 8mp digi cam can take better pics than a 12 mp camera phone, any day even if it was made by nok, se or sam, and who knows wats the actual qualtiy vid u will get from that 780p, will it have a lot of noise, will the focus be right, will the colour n contrast adjust properly. This phone is made for a set of comsumers and will be out done by some other phone in the future, se 12mp and samsung hd recorder will also be out done, so please stop wastin ur time bashin and say thank u that sum1 did this 1st so the rest of us can improve on it. thanks for readin

I agree with grimjow. You have no idea what megapixel even means. What's important is the lens. And Nokia Carl Zeiss optics are better than any of the samsung and LG's 8 mpx cameras. So please stop talking nonsence. And the camera is not the most important thing in mobile phone.

What kind of shame to Nokia ?? Nokia is the best of the best, and will be always the best !
Cause N97 is coming up babies, and he has symbian 9.4 rel. 5 and 32 GB internal memory, and it's touchscreen, and cool battery, and what if he has 5MP Camera, big deal, so what if it is not better camera than other phones ho has 8mp or even 12 mp, N97 is still the best. And I'm not a Camera Lover, so it goes for me a 3.15 MP or 5MP even better, what I love in N97 is everything, it's the coolest phone ever seen nowadays ! :-D

There are lots of people here talking about megapixels. You are all dumb!!! Use your brains once plz.. We are talking a mobile phone here not camera.. If you want to be a photographer buy a digital SLR camera.. Did you know that 3.2MP and 5MP cameraphone are enough for everyone when you print your image? 5MP is enough and you can already print a very nice and big photo with it.
If all people want a bigger MP cam, then what do you think would happen if all manufacturer make bigger MP every year? hahaha.. In 2010 they already have 30MP and then every picture would be at least 10GB or more. Plz use your brains...
I have N82, 5800, omnia and I am happy with it.. N97 truly is magnificent phone.. so don't judge it by comparing its camera to others.. Just go for the functionality and features it has.

Nisar, 17 Feb 2009Sony Ericsson makes 12.1 MP phones, Nokia has not even made... moreanything over 5mpx is a fad in mobiles. Let's see how that 12 mpx phone would compete with a 5mpx digital camera.

And unless ur gonna be wakin around wit a car battery or sum i think it is a quad core over clocked speed of 586. Look at the n95 3 it has a dual core processor 300 for regular stuff and + 200 for ne thing usin the antena 3g connections internet radio etc

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970thats rude to say ... i love all phone makers no matter who however i wpuld always go for nokia and will get an N97 for the design and the QWERTY ... the SE could be great but they really got to do it right unlike the experia that got outdated before the release ... samsung HD is great againwouldn't take it over N97 for the lack of QWERTY ... i am not saying that cuz i am a nokia fan boy !! cuz its true ... BTW N86 sucks ..

see the latest news of gsmarena about N86... moreSonyEricsson has experience with 8 megapixel camera phone's just like Samsung, LG and Sharp, they've been making them a while now, Nokia has none, it looks like they've tacked one on to an N85 just to say they have.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see how their first attempt goes.
