Sean, 01 Feb 2009just get the n97 unless u wanna wait till like friking 2011... morethere r 3 gliches in n97...
1) it records in VGA ie 4:3, but displays in 16:9..
2)It has no TV receiver
3)it's data rate is 3.6 not 7.2
I have a high budget....if these problems r solved in the final version, then i will buy it....

Also the indian version does not support 850Mhz 3G, so the internet will be slow whenever i go tho USA

ps in Canada its on CTV at 6:00pm which in Ontario is Channel 8 if u wanna wwatch in HD go to channel 517 (which is where im watching it lol)

Pepsi, 31 Jan 2009That doesn't mean Nokia come with all the languages pre loa... moreRegarding Telstra, they usually have to wait for the release of the NAM models, the same as our friend's in Canada, or the speed of the Internet connection will be slow.
The reason there are 2 BB Storms is one for NAM and one for the rest of the world.
The iPhone and a few other phones cover both, which cuts costs as they only make one set of hardware for each model (Apart from things like colour and amount of memory).

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2009Apple has all the languages it supports on all it's phone's... moreThat doesn't mean Nokia come with all the languages pre loaded on there, if you want extra languages you can buy a pack which will also give you a keypad.
Also, I'm not talking about Telstra, they suck.
Maybe Apple do that, I don't know - I only speak English. Just trying to stick up for Apple :(

i have a couple thing to say the n97 is amazing and sow was the iphone until this phone was announced ok soo no one should brag that the n97 is better i mean the iphonewas the best phone think about the world of technology never goes backward only forward maybe apple will make a better phone than the n97 so then nokia would make a better phone ect. so there is no point of comparing these two phones im sorry to say iphone fans this phone is better than the iphone 3g but dont worry apple could make a new phone soon that 100% will be better than the n97 afterwards nokia will make a better phone and ect. the chain never ends

They even have triband HSDPA, so work in North America and the rest of the world.
Telstra's NextG is the same as North America.

Kyuubi, 31 Jan 2009I told you i've used it for 3 months and i didn't see prope... moreDifferent languages don't count, many phones are made regional so if you bought it in America it wouldn't have Asian letters, only in an oceanic region would it have that.
From my knowledge that's how most phones software work, bar a few.
I'm assuming that's what Apple does.
