Removable battery FTW!!! Hands down after you iphone dies cause it uses to much power for the screen XD and most the time people only use it for music and inet which take a chunk out of battery life on daily use it must get annoying when you have to find a store that has ipods on display so you can charge it XD meanwhile eveyone else is chilling with there fully charged extra battery in there pocket XD owned

Allan, 05 Jan 2009This guys iphone3g freezes while a call is coming in, under... moreAll I found in Google were a few issues from July last year when the iPhone was first released.

Since then there have been 2 firmware updates which obviously resolved this as there are no later reports of this being an issue.

Tell your friend to plug into iTunes and update to 2.2.

Allan, 05 Jan 2009Oh and BTW were not talking about WinMO !!!!No but WinMo is notorious for freezing when a call comes in.

It's never happened on my iPhone nor on any of my friends' iPhones.

If you can wait for it to 'unfreeze' it isn't really frozen then, is it?

There is a way to unfreeze an iPhone but I can't be bothered telling you.

I have NEVER heard of it happening on standby, maybe you are confused with a WinMo device.

I love the removable battery XD when your iphone gets dropped in water you'll see why the removable battery is still the best plus 2 batteries are better then 1 big one that only has 330 charges XD 2 batteries 660 charged maybe even more cause it's a back up battery i do it all the time with my E70 2 bats FTW!!! Longer net with full brightness, volume owned

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Well why do all these Nokia fans keep whining about having to change the battery all the time?

If there wasn't something wrong with Nokia batteries they wouldn't be complaining about it so much.

My comment is about the infrared. It will be better if infrared is avaliable to enable you send or recieve files from smaller nokia that do not have bluetooth device.(please nokia try and do it for your users. We love u nokia because you are number one.)

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2009cannot remove battery will make the phone battery more heav... moreI think what he means is, as the iPhone doesn't "hang" so there is no need to remove the battery to restart it, unlike S60 phone's.

You also don't need to remove the battery to take out the SIM card.

By not having a removable back the phone can be physically smaller, even though it has a large battery.

The battery on the iPhone 3G is not soldered in like the original iPhone, there are also a couple of screws on the housing on either side of the port, it looks like the battery will be easier to change (although I have never had to buy a second battery for ANY phone I have owned over the last 10 years since LIon batteries started being used).

You can buy extra batteries for the iPhone which plug into the charging port and give extra charge, there is one which gives 24 hours talk time and 31 days stand-by time which wraps around the back of the iPhone and includes a flash/torch, it will even still fit in an iPhone dock.

How many original N95's have you seen with sticky tape holding the back on?

The design was really flimsy with tiny plastic tabs holding it on which bend and break easily.
