N97 is considered by Nokia as a 'Laptop replacement'
its closest rival is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1
so i want everyone to wait for the next showdown of
Nokia N97 VS Sony Ericssson Xperia X1
Nokia said for people to keep using N96's and their services available for them as they will still be on sale even with N97 on sale alongside.
N97's price is expected to be around 550 Euros and around 33,000 Rupees and about 600 US Dollars.

I would think that by the time this phone comes out, Maps 3.0 will be on it instead of having to download it

psychomania, 20 Dec 2008this phone doesnt exist it is just a prototype start nok... morewhat bugs do you mean?? i have n95 just from the start of it's sales,and the phone works perfect,no bugs,no soft update from march 2007 when i buyied it.now i have n85 from 2 months,also from the first day when i can buy it,and no problems. if sometimes the software freeze for 3-4 seconds it's not a bug. even a pc quadcore can freeze or restart. what bugs??? n97 is the killer of all htc,ptc,ftc,iphone,crapphone and other junks

nfortunatly Nokia N 97 does not have o microsoft office documents viewer.
we can not call it as a professional mobile set.

This is complemented by excellent music capabilities, full support for the Nokia Music Store and continuous playback time of up to 1.5 days. The Nokia N97 also has a 5-Megapixel camera with high-quality Carl Zeiss optics, 16:9 and DVD quality video capture, and support for services like Share on Ovi for immediate sharing over HSDPA and WLAN.
The Nokia N97 is expected to begin shipping in the first half of 2009 at an estimated retail price of EUR 550 before taxes or subsidies.

S.E and iphone fans in your face, cuz this baby is the sweetest thing on the face of the earth.
I can just imagine myself in the bus, chatting away my life on facebook with its sweet lovely qwerty keypads and the S.E fans around me will be salivating to get one.
Well don't kill yourself hating, if u like it go buy it, I myself was a die hard S.E fan until Nokia n95 was released. A friend of mine has already sold his iphone and is preparing for this baby.
So ppl stop hating or trashing cuz is nokia, A good stuff is a good stuff... Xperia is not on this baby's level so dont compare. Nokia n97 is Da Bomb

II wonder how VGA video from the camera will look on the widescreen.
You'd have to bluetooth WVGA videos taken with a Samsung or LG to make the best of it.
