HEY GUYS i wont to tell u some thing.do not buy this there are lot of softwair pro with this phone.i used this and i am really despoint with nokia company.

And if i look at that also, this model is one of the best scoring(for now); and yes, agree, by the time it hits the shelves, who knows what surprises we get (which is only better for us).
But there are specs that really weigh more.
I used touchscreens for ages - gotta love it.
Using the BB Bold now - gotta love how quickly i type on the qwerty keybord.
And this phone has the combination, besides other specs like Flash support.
And to take those kind of pictures, you really need a good camera with good lenses. It was definitely not taken from a 0.8mp camera. But it is a 0.8mp picture (my post was removed though).

But it does make sense to some other people. Its all about "everyone have their own preferences".
But most importantly is, how can this phone out perform other phone in 2009 Q2? Cause by then other phone manufacturer might have come out with higher megapixel camera phone with same or better specs and design. 6 months is a really long time. LG, Samsung, SE, HTC, Apple...etc are capable of surprising us with their product in 6 months time.
btw, can tell us what's the model of that 0.8mp camera that u used to took all those nice photos?
The purpose im asking u for this is to prove that im not a lousy photo shooter... because i tried very hard but cannot get this kind of result with my 3.2mp N73 camera. weird...

But how can u p... moreThe purpose of sharing these pics was to just show how sharp a less than 1mp picture can be (and create this reaction) -- and how 5mp or 8mp, or 250mp will not make the difference, unless you want to make a big poster to cover your whole house.

Can share which camera u used?
What brand?
What method and all the steps u take to shoot these photos?
I will go look for the camera at my friend's shop and do a testing myself.

What was their objective then if megapixel does not affect the image quality?
Maybe 1 megapixel different won't have much differences.
But we are talking about 3 megapixel here.
And how u know the sensors and optics used by the current 8mp phone is not as good?
So given same sensors and optics specs with higher megapixel, the higher megapix camera should perform better rite?
maybe shooting photo of big object like human and landscape mode won't tell much different on monitor, but how about macro mode? Megapixel will come into action when we need to take photo of small object and need to enlarge them to see the detail rite?

Well guys, whenever phones will be able to create this sharpness, we'll continue the conversation.
The number of megapixels in this picture? 0.5! Half a megapixel! Not even one!!
How can one say 5mp is not enough?
Better, get the other bits improved: lenses, sensors, processors, software - whatever.
For now the "8mp" label is just to get you as a customer.
And besides, what are you going to do with those pictures? You're going to post them somewhere on a website which will standardize the size, or you're going to show them to your friends on your phone's little screen.
Other test: Find a 8mp picture on the internet, and then resize it with your picture editor to 5mp. Please let me know if the difference will strike you.
Again, my opinion, please refute.

You mean expert say that megapixel won't affect the photo quality? can u point out which "expert" make the statement?
u r rite that camera capability and speed is not all.
But they really do play some major role for most out there.

Hi ayava, i agreed with u. i think SE fans should go to school and attend lessons because even tho a camera expert will say megapixels isnt important but the quality of the picture/lens. it will be the case if you compare 1 megapixel to 12 megapixels. ppl complainin about the speed, there are many factors of making a phone a good phone, speed is one of the aspect but NOT EVERYTHING. u ppl should open up your eyes to see things more wider instead of complaining about 1 or 2 things outta 100.

Tit for tat by Nokia an competator for Xperia 1.
its cam inbuilt mem double and 20% bigger screen rest when launched X1 would been so cheap that still would put up resistance.As E90 is still King next who will retain it i think N97.but question mark about its smooth performance after Q2 released another Qtr to stabilize.

The Nokia lovers are so funny, they are quick to call other phones cr*p because of the megapixels of the camera...
...but when people with the latest 8 megapixel phones call Nokia phones cr*p because of the megapixels of the camera, the excuses begin.
Nokia has used cheaper CPU's which are incapable of higher resolutions so they can make more profit from those who swallow the hype.
At least 6 months out and there is nothing BUT hype.

the pixels more also need to see the picture VIVID a not la

everyone is suppose to have their own preferences.
i just don't agree when others say that megapixel does not play an important role in imaging.
Else, camera manufacturer will not compete in this area at all.
well megapixel war will never cease. now some might say that it is impossible for a phone camera to go up more than 12 megapixel because of the len size.
But no one will know.. 10 years ago, no one thought of even putting a megapixel camera in a phone rite.
I think when 12 megapixel phone is out, other specs will also be very impressive if not the same as current one. So why not go for the phone with higher megapix and having almost the same specs with cheaper or same price and available in the market regardless which manufacturer it is.
I truly hope Nokia will rise again and be on the top.
