People need to star... moreYes I agree with u that people have different taste & the manufacturers try their best to cater to these different segments. In my considered opinion ( It is only an opinion),IPhone are the trail blazers in the area of touch screen & they are still the best in the area of UI,screen clarity in direct sunlight & internet browsing. Likewise Nokia is strong in the area of texting, features & internet browsing even though they are the worst in the area of design & the materials used. Samsung is renowned for their design,materials used & innovative features. HTC , also in my opinion, is not very much far behind to Samsung & SE. Frankly even though I do not fancy SE,their W960, P1 & xperia deserves to be recognized.
Generally people tend to believe that their choice is the best & all others are trash. This is sad & we should get out of this frame of mind. U have also touched on this issue & I could see that even though u are a teenager, u have some maturity. Anyway the world is a small place & we should live & let live. Cheers & let us by our conduct & mannerism make the world a better place to live.

These people referred to, by u, unfortunately do not have the luxury of conducting research & development.Poor souls.Leave them alone. But what about the experts at GSM arena & phone arena?
They have already declared that innov 8 is the best camera phone that is presently available in the market. Nevertheless, I should admit the fact that Nokia phones are generally better in the area of video recordings.

Most of the sites I've looked at say that this early batch of 8MP's are not any better than the current batch of "Good" 5MP's. I'm sure that with future generations, the 8MP's will generally be better. But at some point it begs the question "When is it Overkill?" "When does it stop bringing any real quality improvements?"

Maybe u are right about more megapix not equal to better photo. But the new batch of 8mp phones camera quality is in fact far surpasses the quality of all other 5 megapix phone. Just read all the reviews in all review sites and most if not all of them will tell u the same thing. And if it is the truth that N97 produce the best photo quality then so what? When it released by 2009 Q2 (or maybe Q4), other mobile company may have already come out with a phone with better specs, better cameras with cheaper price... I love Nokia. But if they still keep on their slow pace then they may follow the Motorola foot steps...

nokia didnt announce d processor yet because ti o... more5 Megapixels seems to be a limit imposed by the current generation of TI OMAP processors, if Nokia was going to use a new one that is still in development, don't you think they would have upped the camera?
The VGA limit on the video camera is also a giveaway.
TI has higher end processors which support up to 12 Megapixel camera's and higher resolution video similar to what LG and Samsung handsets are currently capable of.

At last! At last! Nokia have granted my request: an N-series with a QWERTY. Now people can type in the vernacular. Furthermore speed thumb typing is easier with a QWERTY. My only small problem is there are only three rows of keys. Normally a handheld device has four rows. The three row system will mean having to learn a new keypad layout. So one will have to type differently for this particular phone. My advice to Nokia is to keep to the standard four row layout!
