i think this phone appear to be expensive. well, looking at its price range with the N97. The features have quite big differences specially in the storage. ill just go for the original N97 than this one.

Before few days I was getting my Nokia N97 mini, plus I have option to return this phone (15 days) if I don't like it. So my impressions for this phone are that I am still not sure did I keep this phone or I will return him. Too much software, too slow software not just in phone, but also in my Sony Vaio super fast laptop, download from Nokia server from N97 mini or my PC, so slow (even my interent connection for laptop is super fast). So many functions what nobody use, but not some what we reely need, charset on Ovi.com site is not good for for example French language, so to login without problems, well that is SF for Nokia. So from 1-10 (ten best), I will give to this phone "big" 2. Not satisfied at all.

Just bought my N97 mini... i have to say this phone is so stylish, i've become the envy of many around me everytime i uses it, especially when i slide out the qwerty keyboard...

My only concern is that, with the text messaging is not equipped with emoticons applications... i'm so use to using smileys in all my chat applications & even with my older versions of nokia 5300 express music. that it has became a bane to use this N97 mini with absence of emoticons... it just becomes so lacklustre !

i wish the sound quality of this is as same as the 5800xpress music, if it wasn't for the screen of the 5800 easily breaks, i would have bought the 5800. damn nokia.

I have been researching phones the last few months and even though the Hero and the I-phone seem to be ones winning awards I am torn between the E72 and the N97 mini, due to me always having good experiences with Nokia. A full touch screen is not to my liking and I like to press buttons.

There are features in both that I like. I'm not a massive internet user, generally use it to pass the time travelling or if I need to find out something like football results, so the wi fi option is not a must. I also only use hotmail personally and not as a business so e-mail is not essential, but I do text alot. I use phone cameras when I need to and again it's not essential though.

Any replies to this will be greatly appreciated.

Had it for a couple of days now.. its pleasant to use.. has a lot of features that would make you smile.

Its no iPhone, so can't compare the touch mechanism- but its not bad.. the battery isn't as bad as people say, two days running still full on first charge.. yes it may hang on certain applications but software updates should address this.. standard apps work seamlessly.

No its a great phone don't regret buying.. it has a solid classy look and feel to it not like other plasticky models. Only competitor I would have considered was the Saito but then again look how it did in the market upon its release.

3m, 28 Nov 2009N97 mini has got absolutely same processor (Arm11 43Xmhz) a... moreremember that N97 Mini has lots of feature that cannot be found on the 5800, its an NSeries, entertainment focus and not just an XpressMusic. you will definitely see the difference from a mid tier phone to an N Series flagship if you have use booth.

If its the processor that you have a problem with then you were wrong, this processor is more than sufficient enough to perform N97 Mini's task on hand with S60v5. Call it practicality.

N97 mini has got absolutely same processor (Arm11 43Xmhz) and amount of ram (128MB) as 5800. This hardware archirecture is 2.5 years old and inferior even to N95's Omap2.Not future proof at all, when even 150Euro Nokia's smartphones use faster, ?65nm? 600mhz cores.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The N97 mini is more capable (faster processor, more RAM). I would get it if you have the choice.

Dude, it's 2009. People want all of these things integrated into one device. Who wants to carry an SLR around with them 24/7?
