Once you got the battery conditioned, you will find many of the features perform better because with enough battery juice the phone will not auto lower the CPU speed to save power.
For web browsing use Opera Mini which will save more than 30% for web use and much less data usage.
For better use of the resistive touch screen, use finger nails or a stylus and it will be just as responsive as a capacitive touch screen. One can really scribble more precisely than capacitive screen. Try downloading the free app like sticky note and the advantage of a good resistive like n97 mini becomes apparent.
Finally, try to load most of the apps on the E: and not on the system C: drive. When the C: drive gets full, it can severely affect the performance.

Do a full discharge to charge cycle by draining the battery fully then charge it max. Do this in the very beginning to calibrate the battery.
After that, bring your car or wall charger along and charge it whenever you have the chance after using the phone. Do this for 3 to 4 days.
After doing the above you will find the battery capacity retention improve by 40%.
Most of us cannot resist the urge to keep playing with our new toy and fully draining it but except for the initial calibration this kind of full draining out is actually harmful for a new battery.

Using this phone frm one month., Awesome phone...slim, touchscrn is great as compared to othr resistive touch scrn phones. Nice audio quality, camera is greatttt, good keypad. Facing no problems at all but Battery backup is not up to the mark. All over jst love this phone......

good phone, music really lasts for more than 30 hours, best sound quality, great camera, good key pads better than the n 97's, super fast web browser, but the screen easily gets scratches

Using 16gb microSD card is slowing down(hanging problem) my n97 mini but the 8gb card works fine.
In that respect, i am missing having 32gb mass memory of n97 classic on my mini. Even N97 mini should have had at least 16gb mass memory if not more. Mini doesn't mean you make the mass memory the one-fourth of what its big brother n97 had !

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2010I purchased the Mobile N97 Mini on July 2010. I upload lot... morego to settings-> app manager -> select installed apps -> select the theme name and go to options and uninstall it.
