i think anonymous dont like nokia brand,but dat doesnt mean he always used to curse nokia,even nokia N97 mini,i own it,n its gud,n if any1 want smartphone for business purpose,den go for blackberry,nokia is for us people whao want high mp cam,sexy body,what else u want guys . . .dont listen to any 1,even dese samsung lg have dere own problm in their handsets

(made & received calls)returned this unit to supplier for exchange. experienced many missed calls and phone did not ring at all.Have read many people complaining abou this issue.

I'm using this n97 mini for the last 2 months. Although its quite a less time to come to a conclusion regarding how the set is, there's something i would like to share with everyone here.
First of all, coming to the looks and the build quality, n97 mini looks so royal. stainless steel battery cover at the back and glossy finish borders on the front. Very elegant, beautiful.
Camera is a decent one,though lacks some common features like smile & blink detection, WDR and xenon to assist in low light conditions.
Music Player is just an average on the speakers, good on the earphone provided in the box... but Nokia 5800 XM's music experience was the best.
Web browser on n97 mini is just like nokia 5800's.
Video player is a decent one. Only if it would have supported DivX XviD codecs it would have been great. After all, who wants to waste their time converting videos even after buying a costly handset? (may be i-phone users thinks otherwise, isn't it?).
GPS signals are okey. ovi maps works great. Free life-time voice guided navigation is a cool thing.
Other than these above mentioned features, there are few things however I don't like about this handset.
Screen is scratch-prone and as it's resistive, applying more pressure is leaving marks (searching for a screen guard now, doesn't know if that's gonna solve the problem).
Signal reception is poor. Same place same network__ two mobiles (n97 mini & n73 ME) N97 looses the signal easily whereas n73 do not. I don't know really where am I going wrong.
Sun light legibility is horrible. I just can't read it outside even after putting the light sensors to maximum. I read it in reviews before making a purchasing decision that sunlight legibility is bad but didn't knew it would be so bad.
Battery heats up intensively after 30 minutes of playing games, surfing web or watching videos. Looks like n97 mini is a power hungry handset and 1200 mAH battery isn't enough to feed it a decent back-up.
Now I am looking at the N8 very closely. Only if I could have waited for 2 months more, could have made the right decision. Now that for the time being I cannot afford N8, I can only satisfy myself seeing it on youtube.

Hey folks, im unable to download some files. when i attempt to download a .jar file i recieve error reding invalid file type.any ideas as most of the sites ive should be able to download from say i should be able to.cheers

Fantastic phone have for the last 5 months.huge inteernall memory with option to add another 16gb card if wanted.easy to use.GPS is a great added extra too.querty keypad and large screen makes very easy to for wap users also.

You must be insane funnboy and nokia hater for sure, just because nokia have not make Nintendo with it's name "NOKIA" on it for you, to race MHz numbers greater than your friends!

this is one of the greatest phones to have, no more GPS in the Car, features are elegant and it is extremely user friendly, of which most touch screen phones are not. and as u might have picked up am a HUGE nokia fan technically not literally

i m a big nokia fan.....i bought my n97 mini in july 2010 but after 2 months it started having problem.....i gave it to the nokia care centre,i used it for again 2 months now again the same problem started so i had to give it back to the nokia care centre.i m abit disappinted with this handset.
