Nokia N97 mini hits the shelves, costs way too much

29 October, 2009

If Nokia N97 had all the features you need but was a bit too big for you then we have some good news. The Nokia N97 mini has just hit the shelves so it should be available at your local store any day now.

Packing QWERTY power and touch-operation the Nokia N97 mini is supposed to deliver the same (if not even a bit better) performance than its chunkier brother. The price for the size reduction is the smaller display (3.2" vs 3.5"), a bit smaller keys on the keyboard and the lack of a D-pad.

The Nokia N97 mini was supposed to come out cheaper than the original Nokia N97 but with an expected price of 450 euro before taxes we cannot see this happening anytime soon. And given that the regular N97 can be found online for about 350 euro we don't see the mini version as having best-seller potential - at least for the time being.
