The only good models released by Nokia this season are their X10, X20, XR20 and X100. This X100 is exclusively reserved for T-Mobile as it stands, though Nokia might change their plans tomorrow. Needless to speak about XR20 because, it is not a budget friendly device. The other two models hasn't found its place in some markets including India. But, these models will definitely not be budget friendly. I don't have any complaints about the processor they use, the Snapdragon 480 because, it is a good SOC, though not suitable for heavy games. But, I definitely look into other aspects like display resolution and the list of sensors the mobile is equipped with. Only the said models have the compass sensor. Moreover, all the said models do have decent cameras. I certainly accept that Zeiss optics increases the device's cost by a considerable margin. But, consumers who needs a budget friendly device will not (should not) opt for Zeiss optics. This is where Motorola plays and conquers. The rest of other models by Nokia are just entry level devices. I hope Nokia's Product Development team will take note of these aspects in future.

A new trend. Mobile manufacturers hurry up to launch everything with Android 11 out of the box, the notable case is with Xiaomi launching their note 11 series of mobiles before their season. I think Android 12 is going to bring radical changes beyond the line of actual control of mobile manufacturers. I truly believe that things will take shape with upcoming Chinese mobiles with Android 12. Bloatwares could be effectively managed with Android 12. Readers may check with Android 12's features. There is a huge difference between a mobile getting updated to Android 12 and a mobile getting released with Android 12 out of the box.

Anonymous, 30 Nov 2021Does it have a dedicated SD card optionIt has been clearly stated that this X100 model is exclusive to T-Mobile. Do you still have your doubts? To be honest there is no budget friendly good mobile from Nokia. If you are interested in Stock Android with no bloatwares look for Motorola mobiles. I am not against Nokia but, it is a fact that Motorola leads. To be honest again, I would certainly choose Nokia over Motorola, if Nokia releases a competing product.

GeraldPadilla, 19 Nov 2021They present no ads unlike Xiaomi and no bloatware unlike s... moreWhile the software support from Nokia and build quality makes Thier phones decent, having good specs also matter, if you bring a xaiimi phone with amoled display and 120hz refresh rate and this one, more people will pick the xaiomi phone cause it'll feel faster than the Nokia, at least they should use a high end sd6xx processor and a high refresh rate display on some of their high end models, it is quite hard to differentiate this from it's x20 series

Yes, as I've already said Nokia has to do its calculations seriously without which Motorola would lead. It has become highly mandatory that Nokia gears up to launch this mobile globally. All the previously laughed budget models by Nokia falls short before Motorola's Moto G31.

I own about 4 or 5 Nokias but the batteries on them are so shit it's like Finnish people are telling non-Europeans you should be hard at work while they can stay at home and recharge them whenever they'd like.
Sort of buggers me off. The only reason i keep using Nokia is because I dislike many other brands.

Ajbumpben, 17 Nov 2021I use Nokia Phones, now I use X10 & is far more better ... moreYes, I'm also using a Nokia 5 to date (From 2017), When I bought this I had a ghost touch issue and then they replace the display cos it's on warranty. I'm no fanboy of those Chinese phone brands, I just want good specs for a better price. Of course, X10 is a good phone for $300. What about the entry-level Market? Even I love stock android and I love Nokia but I can't Stop criticizing if they are not the way it supposes to be. As a person from a third-world country like SRI LANKA we would like to have good specs on a phone that costs about $150.They (NOKIA) should accept our opinions, Otherwise, it will end up like LG PHONES.

I can see Nokia now is trying to make a cheap phone with SD 480.
I don't have problem with processor as long as it strong enough, but what i need is quality balance both hardware and software inside it with pretty cheap. People who keep compare based spec sheet and price weren't using Nokia before.

Keep in mind people -
Realme/Xiaomi/Poco etc subsidize the cost of their handsets due to amount of additional preinstalled software and ads that are included (from which they get paid to pre install).
This allows them to sell the handsets at a reduced retail price, but the trade off is the immense additional bloatware for the end user (and the potential sharing/selling of personal and non personal data).
If Nokia chooses to complete, they either have 2 choices - include higher end processors which will then increase the cost of their handsets, or start subsidizing handset costs via preinstalled apps/bloatware.
I'm not happy that they are using the 480 processor, as regardless of what the raw benchmarks scores may display (antutu 320k+), in day to day use, it is still a very basic low budget processor which is very noticeable when switching apps, surfing (low speeds), Bluetooth issues, and evident lag.
Hence why Qualcomm are soon set to release the 480+ version, which will patch the faults and give the processor a slight boost in order to compete with the other budget offerings from dimensity (700/720/810 etc).
As great and cost effective as Realme/Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco etc phones are in terms of price/specs ratio, there is always a hidden cost, and it's with our data and privacy.
How else do you think they manage to release such high end hardware for such low low prices?!
Nokia is not entirely without bloatware, however it is mostly in house bloatware and not third party.
They need to focus more on the high end market & quality, to allow them entry back into the game, and to actually compete. The price of their handsets could then be justified when compared to the competition at the high end - whilst allowing them to remain with stock android & minimal bloatware.
As at this rate, they can NEVER compete in the budget and mid range segment, as their competiton is just far too fierce.
