it's a VERY GOOD music phone.. just think of a mp3 which can make phone calls and text message.. AMAZING!!!

This phone is continuously having problem.dual sim dual standby but call is not coming always engage problem and for a call there is a message like 'call not allowed' and for message there is a 'wait' on the screen....

GOT THIS PHONE 2 WEEKS AGO and it is amazing! Before buying this phone, I took time to read all the negative stuff posted by people here about this phone. At first I wanted to get the samsung e2232 because of it's overall appearance and user friendliness. But my main consideration for a phone is how loud the loud speaker can go because I wanted to play MICHAEL JACKSON songs out loud for the public to hear in the convenience of a cellphone. So I went for the NOKIA X1-01 anyway because I read that it delivers the most powerful sound Nokia has ever made and it had a long battery life (Just what I needed for long MICHAEL JACKSON music playback) and I didn't care about the negative experiences people have had with it.
*I put some MICHAEL JACKSON songs in the memory card and when I played it through the speakers IT WAS SUPER LOUD WITH CLEAR HIGH QUALITY SOUND! My dad, who loves speakers and audio stuff, even said "Wow what speaker brand is that in your phone? Is it like the Dolby that LG put in their phones? They really make sound quality a priority in phones these days!" It was really loud AND CLEAR even if you put the volume to max. The sound doesn't distort as you would expect with such a small device. It's as if the speakers are branded like what my dad initially thought because you could really hear the instruments playing in the song and you can hear the singer's voice loud and clear. The speakers may be small but the sound is BIG!
*Next is the battery life. Upon purchasing the phone, I noticed that there were 2 bars and it's the factory charge. It lasted for 2 days with heavy music play. So I charged it when the power went down. I charged it for 4 hours because a bigger battery (1350 mah compared to 1000 mah of normal cellphone battery)needed longer charging time. It lasted for 7 days (1 sim only) along with heavy music use (4 hours average within the 7 days USING SPEAKERS, about 2 phone calls per day within the 7 days, I used the flashlight for 30 mins in 1 day only when we went to the beach, I sent 10 text messages average per day within the 7 days, 30 mins of games per day, 1 hour of radio per day within the 7 days) before the battery finally died. It is amazing how long the phone can last with its long battery life.
*No network connection issues (as long as you avoid covering the antenna part (The bottom of the phone)
*I never really tried using 2 sims in it and I don't know how well the phone performs as far as battery life is concerned.
*Flashlight/Torchlight is good. It is bright enough for accomplishing tasks under pitch black conditions. The light it emits comes from an LED diode which is white and is flood/wide which is ideal for reading books at night or blackouts. It is not really good for doing tasks that require a standard flashlight.

its owsomeeeee ,,great production of nokia,those who are telling that this is a blunder they are telling lie .there is no problem with network,the batery is excellent,and the sound quality is fine,so i recommend this is a must buy phone in lowest price......

dear this is duel sim. n when v make a call from one sim then 2nd sim's signls droped down. its not a big issue.bcoz our aim is make a call so dont panic about all that.

Hi everyone. Post my first review of the hands on experience, I gave the phone to Nokia care for the software update. It took 24hrs. Now the call receiving function is working fine.
The problem looks solved for a while. The battery isn't performing as claimed by Nokia but does stand by for 4 days at least.
There is no auto restart problem with my handset.
I won't say not to buy this phone.
As per the price, this is a great phone.
All the best if you buy one.
