I don't know where you live, but here the price difference between the X20 and the XR20 is about 120€, which makes the XR20 unappealing to me since that's almost 50% extra.
The X20 also has more memory (XR20 tops out at 6GB vs 8GB on the X20) and much better cameras (especially the selfie camera, 32MP vs 8MP).
On the other hand, the XR20 has a somewhat brighter screen (550 nits vs 450 nits) and can be charged wirelessly.
It also comes with wider GPS options and USB-C 3.0 instead of 2.0 and slightly more modern Bluetooth (5.1 vs 5.0), but I wouldn't consider any of those some dealbreaker. USB 3.0 is nice however if you have lots of data to transfer between your phone and your computer, so this one could be useful to you in that specific scenario.

Was using Nokia 7.1 from the last three years.
But the only thing I miss when compared to Nokia 7.1 is the Pure Display Technology.

My Nokia 6.1 is due for replacement and I am considering the X20, or the XR20. Don't necessarily need the ruggedness but it looks pretty cool. The X20 is cheaper, so I am still in doubt let's say X20 60% and XR20 40%. Which one would you choose? Also I am only going for a Nokia phone. It's the only brand I buy. Thanks in advance.

How is the audio quality who have this phone? On mine it is terrible, there is a background noise, buzzing sound all the time, it doesn't matter when listening music on phone speaker, headphone jack or Bluetooth speaker. It also does't matter is playing music on youtube or different music players.

On nokia x20 there is buzzing sound through headphones, like static noise. It doesn't matter if listening music on youtube or music player. Tried with different headphones but same issue. It's really annoying, I expected better from Nokia. It's a shame cause otherwise it's a good phone. My 3 years old Xiaomi mi a2 lite doesn't have this problem, it sounds excellent.. Anyone have same issue?

I also forgot to mention about upgrades over the iPhone X I'm happy with are finally USB-C, SD card support and the headphone jack which I missed.

I game from an iPhone X and now I purchased this Nokia X20 a few weeks ago. A very substantial update for 25% of the price I once had to pay for the iPhone X. Main upgrade for me is back to LCD and a bigger screen size and got rid of this unibrow notch and face ID. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is why Nokia is a better value proposition because it's a trusted brand that offers long product and OS support on its mid and high end offerings.
