There is no google play in this release but I found something like rooting and installing playstore on this device.

2.1update is already arrived.who doesn't got it do one thing,download nokia lumia software recovery tool and install on computer,through it download software 2.1 about 899.00 Mb.using usb cable u can update / reinstall any time offline.iam using it.(use usb cable for nokia 701 prefers )

This phone is good Icanot use google play and I canot use memory card.

This is a gud phone. I have been using dis phone since august 2014..
It never hanged , and no any software problem seemed.
I use whole google service after rooting dis... mah phone memory although remains only 200 to 300 mb free approx.. bt dis phone doesn't gotta slow..dats d perfection of nokia..

B... moreThis mobile is very poor .. u can download google play store & youtube and any android app u want without any problems such as me .. just u want to download a recovery tool on ur computer then connect ur nokia x mobile with this computer .. if u want to know more about these steps , there are alot of videos on youtube , just follow these videos step by step .

the phone is very bad i am using it 14 months it was not updated and one of that is phone is always hanging now my phone is completely dead i have to customer care office it was not working i cant help u plz dont use this model
