Now Google play and Google services are available for Nokia x2 D S ...
(official) ... (method developed by Nokia xda developers) ...

DO NOT UNPLUG CABLE WHILE INSTALLATION ... PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION *****
To install Google play with or without rooting , you require a PC with windows , data cable & Nokia x2 ....
first you must go to developer mode and turn on usb debugging option on Nokia x2 settings ....
To activate the developer mode go to Settings - About phone, and tap 5 times to "Software version",
then go to Settings - Developer options - USB debugging ....
now download Nokia X2 tool.exe from these links (From my Google drive or from xda site .......
(http://allnokia.ru/soft/download.php?id=115)(xda site)(language is Russian ! .... or ....
(https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByFmTFlO0fyVMHZtZ0YyaW94bW8/edit?usp=sharing)(my Google drive) ....
Then the process is very simple, you just need to connect the smartphone to PC via usb and
run nokia x2 tool.exe file. Then press 1 to install nokia usb drivers to your computer , and
after that press 2 to install Google Play + Google services ...
press 3 if you want to remove Google play + Google services ...
If you want to get Root-access (using super SU 2.02) press 4 ....
To remove root access press 5 .... press 6 to go recovery menu ...
To exit press 0 . You can solve the main drawback of nokia x2 by this way
BUT PLEASE DO THIS INSTALLATIONS VERY CAREFULLY ..

But i have experience of both Android and windows phone8 os.
In winphone os there r so many limitation 1. U cant move ur downloaded things to sd cards.
2. U cant use file manager
3. U cant do real multitasking like if u downloading something in uc browser then u have to stay in uc browser otherwise ur download will pause.
4. u cant send ur dowloaded or copied video to other phobe via Bluetooth.
5 No usb tethering
6. U cant install app offline,always u have to go to store.
Etc
But in winphone os some thing good like 1.new ui
2.fast
3.chating through message app.
Almos paid app can try.
Etc.
So do research about winphone os and android and purchase.

Sasidhas, 24 Aug 2014Dear friends, which one is better, nokia x2 or lumia 630;???actually it really depends on you, on what you really like..Lumia 630 is a windows phone, it has a quadcore processor, memory is up to 128 and the screen is already scratch resistance..IT HAS A built in microsoft office wherein you can use excel, wor, and etc..When it comes to features, this one better.WHATS good in nokia x2 is that it can already access android apps..So if your the kind of a person who like apps , then this one is good for u.

You can install .apk file through file manager.
Dont have idea about all apk file.
Actually i use some time of nokia x.
I dont have Nokia x2, It isnt release in India.
I think u can install all apk file but not google's like youtube. I hv tried for .apk youtube but couldnt install.
U can root it.

mnkdpssn, 24 Aug 2014no Google service apps pre installed .....can access throug... moreinstall google play store with the help of nokia X2 tools(search it).. good luck

This phone is very nice its a big improvments for nokia x
The battery life is sloid and stay for long time
The peroformance is smooth , it has 1 gbof ram and the new snapdragon chip 200 very good cpu and gpu power
The screen is also improved , now it has the nokia clear black tech and scratch resistance the surface of the screen or the glass is soft
Every thing is good no lag at all
Go for .
