It ll be available in india by 1st quarter in 2010 with cwm . Its confirmed by nokia.

It needs - Faster CPU and better RAM,
And increased resolution for videos.
SD Card slot is a must have for a Cam-phone.
Camera with 5 MP should be sufficient if provided with good lens.
It seems nokia has missed many of these new age requirements.
The are not ready for the market, they should buy Samsungs new 1 GHz Prozessor to get the number one on the phone market back... ;)

how come the Nokia x6 uses 401 h of battery in standby for 2g and 420 h for 3g!! this doesn't make sense!:-?

Few questions for X6 user wannabe :
1)This phone's using capacitive screen yet it has handwriting recognition capability,as far as i know handwriting recg.is used w/resistive screen because of its compatibility w/stylus,why is it happening?
2)About 434 Mhz processor,i think with the phone's current RAM & massive 32Gb internal memory combined w/symbian OS version for X6,lag & slow couldn't be avoided.
3)Battery issue : 5 Mp camera,Wi-Fi,GPS,16M colors 360 x 640 pixels, 3.2 inches screen are great,match to my phone's standard but they all heavily depend on Li-Ion 1320 mAh,now is that kind of battery could last those for at least 2 days of hardcore usage?
4)Is Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate applied to all menu including main menu & stand by screen?
I'm not a Nokia fan,in fact i'm not using Nokia right now,but this phone interest me,cause any brands don't mean that much to me,it's a phone capabilities that counts,i'd might want to change my current phone with X6 if only i had clearances to those issues above.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2009Yes, but with the price that so expensive, consumers deserv... moreYes, you are right, people wants better camera from an expensive phone, actually I want to tell you something about the camera, if a phone has eg 8MP camera, you can use freely your digital zoom, because you will take better photos, than with a 5MP camera phone. Go and check with an 3.2 MP camera phone, take a photo with 16x digital zoom, after that take a photo with an 8MP camera, to see the big differences. This is why actually some people want an 8MP camera phone. With other words, more Megapixel, better pictures, and you can use the digital zoom even at 12,13 or 16x digital zoom, and your pictures will be great! :)

it does make me chuckle when people rant on about it doesnt have 8/12 mp . honestly who blows their pictures up over a4 size ? i am not a massive nokia fan but at least they have got the whole mp/lense quality thing sorted . good pics need a good lense big pics (blown up over a4/a3) need high mp (8mp+)
80% of users do not even print their pics and hence only need a max really of 3.2 mp
