hey sholud i buy this phone or samsung wave....specs wise samsung seems better....bt i heard this phone doesnt have good loudspeaker and touch is also not that good....

this phone is really wonderful... 5mp camera is awesome.. sound clarity is amazing... touch is similar to iphone.. speakers are not upto the mark but with headphones sonund s wow..

Been using X6 for a week now. Decent handset but must admit - Nokia has miles to go and "evolve" on its touch platform. Just feels immature. Ppl plz dont compare with iPhone - does not even come close to the UI experience.
Battery is lasting me 1.5-2 Days with a fair amt of usage. Sound volume on speakers is lower than 5130music and on Headphones is about 75% of what iPhone offers. Tested by playing the same track on both phones through my Sennheiser mx460 earplugs.
And true - phone is kinda slow - the ARM 434mhz processor is doing no justice. Typing is messy - no auto correct with T9 off. Spelling mistake symbian does not even look at :( Sad for a phone costing 15k!
Screen readability in Sunlight sucks big time: 2/10. My Blackberry 8900 has an awesome screen to look @ in bright sunlight. Screen does flicker a bit which is disappointing. Nokia will still take 3-4 yrs to reach where iphone is today.
MAPS free for life is the saving grace. Ofcourse nokia's connectivity etc is also a saving factor.

Hey, I'm considering buying this phone against a samsung ultraTOUCH. I know the nokia beats the samsung hands down, but i dont feel like spending an exrtra $150 more. the thing that I dont like about the samsung is that the touch seems unresponsive.
what do you think I should do?

It is sad to see the low rating of this phone in GSMarena...I am using this phone since I bought it 1month back and I am 99.9% satisfied with this phone
Initially I thought of buying sony Xperia X10 mini which is a perfect substitute for this phone interms of features and price but then i realised that symbian v5 is far better than android1.5 and 1.6 versions and they are totally outdated...
I installed 'n' number of apps and themes and its working perfect in x6........and when ever i take out phone from ma pockets everybody look at its killer kinda looks
I stongly recommend this phone to all whos in budget of 14000k to 17000k becoz you will nt get any phone with this features and looks in this particular category

This is a smartphone, not a computer, camcorder or DSLR.
If you can't even appreciate the technology built in the phone, I guess you must have motives behind all your bashings. Battery lousy or you're lousy? Have you ask yourself if you really know how to use a phone?
Every phone has its potential. Symbian may be out-dated, how good are other OSes?

i hve bought x6 16 gb from dubai 2 months ago. the phone is simply superb.the browsin with this is amazing. sound , pic clarity and not the least, the touch...its a vow...must buy for nokia fans

Rohit, 07 Jul 2010i am facing a problem with the headset of this phone..when ... moreCarlo is wrong its not a flaw. if you just insert it right away the phone will automatically detect that its a headset. try inserting the headset into another device (psp, laptop, etc) and you will notice that the plug is too long. this is how the device automatically detects that it's the headset
if you put it slowly, it will just work like a normal headphone which is why the headset buttons do not work. also if you use a non-nokia headphone it will let you choose every time but you can easily change the settings to automatically let it choose headphones whenever you insert a non-nokia/standard length(plug) headphone
i don't actually own this phone but its the same way with the n82...

Net browsing is dam slow n wi-fi automatically gets disconnected again n again v gotta reconnect it...

i am facing a problem with the headset of this phone..when i insert the headset pin slowly in the phone it shows me different options like headphone, tv out, music stand etc and the headset buttons does not work....and when i instantly push the pin inside the phone jack, it does not show the options and the headset buttons also work...please help me ...is there any problem in the phone or it is like this only...please reply because i really wanna know why is it happening..???

I bough one as replacement for my lost Samsung Omnia HD.
I'm not impressed. The screen is small, quite unresponsive, podcast freezes, it does nou select autamatically the Wi-fi connection if you start something which requires internec connection. I notice a noise in my PC speaker when this phone connects to the internet. I did not notice that with any other phone (my Omnia HD and my wifes Galaxy S). Compared with my wife's Samsung Galaxy S, is a brick. It's by no means an iPhone killer.
For 150 Euro extra I could have bought a Samsung Galaxy S. So, this phone is not worth buying.

I am using for last one month. Phone is good in respect of camera, touch screen , battery backup and features but speaker sound is crackly and not at all up to the mark. BT headfone/ corded headfone sound is just OK.

i dont like nokia phones .. but this x6 phone is awsome. i like this phone ..sound is good.camera qulty is tooo good.touch is alsovery good.
in all words...........Very good cell phone
