The slimmish and even bezel on this big display is nice. It's actually a joke how many of the bigger brands puts a thick or uneven bezel on their "budget" models, as if it's this insane cost-cutting decision done in our favour.

          GCamator indicate that the CMF Phone 2 Pro (Nothing A001) is now compatible with GCam (v8.4), the very best of Android camera.
          My question now is : does this version of GCam for the CMF Phone 2 Pro allow the use of the other two lenses (2x zoom and ultra wide angle) ?
          Someone to try and tell us ?

            Nada, 07 May 2025I bought the CMF Phone 2 Pro 5G. I don’t know why. I guess ... moreJust wondering but is your area good for signal or not great and do you have smart 5g on? (a lot of companies have it, it's a setting that automatically swaps between 4g and 5g when signal is low). It does this to save battery when in areas which it struggles to stay connected to 5g (so will swap/keep at 4g to keep connection stable, it's not that it cannot get 5g), I believe it's quite taxing swapping between the 2 and 5g drains a little faster than 4g so maybe see if that's the issue.

            Both my find X5 and pixel 8 pro do it, my SIM can connect to 5g, it will but if I'm in a connection spotty area/I guess a lot of buildings blocking signal then it'll just go to 4g and stay there till it gets consistent 5g.

            The battery will be just dependant per day, could have done more calls or used a more battery intensive app 1 day over the next so it's normal to see a difference per day, the tests on here are just total numbers (if you only did a phone call, if you only watched offline videos, if you only gamed with certain brightness and settings like GPS off, it's to give a rough estimate to yourself how it should sort of perform).

              Plus you learn (especially in psychology) that if someone hates something/willing to follow a crowd/enjoy causing drama then they will.
              It'll get reactions/helps some people just fit in to a group, probably why a lot of the regulars on here come back, it's a community. Certain devices always bring more contrasting views (iPhones, galaxy devices and nothing devices, they'll get more contrasting views).

                It's very obvious that you don't actually know anything about the device other than a few news articles. The accessories from the 1st phone work with this one too, they'll be releasing more accessories too. The attachable cover has basically "mage safe" with all accessories attachable that way, you get a lanyard attachment to stop phone drops, the card holder that turns in to a stand and their own attachable lens, meaning multiple (sorry who else does this other than maybe Sony, Xiaomi with the ultra phone and vivo on their most expensive flagship too?).

                So it's a decent phone for it's price, has a very welcomed and cool feature called "essential space" that is meant to be actually really useful and a feature all manufactures being (for organising information all in one place) on top of having an actual useful selling point Vs every other phone atm (people complain nothing in the box, removing ports, no removable batteries/mSD etc yet act like you when a company tries and puts the device down instantly). Yeah it's no fairfone for repairability but it has user replaceable batteries (as in not needing heat guns etc to get too the battery through the screen).

                I don't like nothing as a company, nor CMF and the owner (Carl pei or whatever ) but I appreciate when a company tries something of gives their customers more for their money (like LG used too, like Moto tries too with the phones) and yeah, it's not fully modular, they tried it 10 years ago and no one wanted it lol (project ara failed when they did a test run and I have an lg G5 still, no one wanted the phone) but it's as good as you're going to get unfortunately so give it a chance.

First of all, hope you would admit that this is a public column and not your private blog. Secondly, if someone trolls about a device, the device manufacturer should worry about it and not the people here who wishes to read other's reviews and share some of their's.

                        Coming to the point,

                        1. I just care about this device for their Excellent Android Experience, the reason why I was and am here.
                        2. It is my wish to ask the manufacturer about my requirements whether it is about screws or nuts to which you need not bother. If you or I like it you or I can buy any amount of screws/nuts and decorate any phone's back with it.
                        3. Poking your nose into other's messages by giving blunt absurd replies is unethical and unprofessional, though ethical and professional replies are always welcome.
                        4. Hope you know about the quality of a GOOD 12MP Sony Camera. If you are unaware of it, it is not my problem. Even the 48MP, 50MP, 64MP or 108MP cameras capture images between 12MP and 16MP format natively.
                        5. I didn't say anything about Android updates in my request to "Nothing" but, wanted to know from you, if phones at least exist even without updates as you said my dream phone does exist. This doesn't mean that, I wish "Nothing" phones with no Android updates.
                        6. Good LCD displays are better than OLED displays in many ways. You may know more about LCD display qualities just by looking at an iPad. Above all, LCD displays are good for eyes than OLED displays. Every manufacturer know about this but, provides OLED displays because, consumers want them (OLED) and because of competition. Natural Color reproduction of GOOD LCD displays can't match any of the known OLEDs in the market.
                        7. Even after replying to me that my dream phone does exist, you haven't provided me the answer yet. May I request you again for it. Let it be cheap for you as you've said but, provide me the answer.
                        8. Finally, Do you really know what is meant by trolling?

                          Besides, a single rear camera, LCD display, and lack of software updates are all specs for a cheap phone, a bonus is that cheaper phones have a 3.5mm jack so that's good!

IIRC Android major releases only gets security updates for 3 years so this makers sense. It will stay on the same major release for the last 3 years of security updates.
