Anonymous, 12 Jul 2022I'm not in the market for a new phone so I might be mi... moreThe A52s 5G is a very good alternative.

The Nothing beats the A52s in three cases; better materials, better camera, wireless charging, and faster-wired charging. However, the A52s have aces up the sleeve in terms of things like SD card, 3.5mm jack, and waterproofing.

As soon as GSMArena and everyone else checks out the software performance of the Nothing, we'll see how it fares. I feel like it could be a hit, given how Carl stresses keeping and using stock apps and not their own.

Awesome package and definitely way better value than the Xiaomi 12 Lite.

I'm not in the market for a new phone so I might be missing some crucial bits of information but so far I fail to see why I'd pick this one over Galaxy A52s 5G which now retails at £250 on Amazon. I'm not saying it to instigate, I guess it's more of a tribute to how great of a phone and value for money A52s is even a year later. This one doesn't look like a flagship killer to me, more like a "premium midranger" which is a very competetive category, and I don't see what makes is stand out other than design gimmicks which frankly I couldn't care less about.

SirJesus, 11 Jul 2022I agree. The sensor should've been on the power button... moreDisagree. The back of the phone is where it should be. Most natural and convenient place to put it.

Power button sensors are always, in my experience anyway, less accurate and less convenient to use. Only easily accessible with one finger on one hand, whereas a sensor on the back is easily accessible to at least 2 fingers (if not 3) regardless of which hand is holding the phone.

In India very few stock OS phones exist . OnePlus use to be good but now with Color OS(im not sure but guessing it aint how it use to be ) , Motorola - near stock OS , Nokia - dont see much good and reliable phones anymore. Agreed their processor is not a flagship and something which they didnt say it will be one. As long as the processor is decent and the OS is optimized for that device and good storage and enough ram hopefully it should be good.
A phone may have the latest or even a flagship from last year it doesnt matter if the OS is having a heavy skin, ads and unnecessary bloatware as it will start having problems down the lane with future updates.

This phone is not aimed at high end gaming but rather a good user experience ?

Question will be how good the OS will and the tech support to fix the bugs.

If it's not a flagship then it should at least come with a headphone jack or an SD card slot. But overall it's an innovative phone and I can't wait to see how well it performs.

But no OS will work if the firmware is outdated so it's the manufacturer's responsibility to give the updates in this case it's an old chipset.
