It has nothing to do with lazy, definetly nothing to do with lazy, and a lot to do with greed, depending on whom you are refering to. Nokia had manufacturing plants in Europe, ALL of them, but what happens when your competitor makes it's devices in china? Well let's put it short and clear. Nokia was paying more then 3000€ per head on manufacturing line, for 8 hours a day, and that is only what a worker received, then for each worker they paid the state too. Though i suspect that workers on NOKIA plants had even better salary. And this excluding R&D and CEO's and whatever others. Their top of the line devices were around 400€ remember, all devices were made in europe, with most of the smartphones being made in Germany and Finland. Now here comes your competitor, the crapple, wjo pays a company to build their devices, and that company pays 100 euros per head, per month, for more then 12 hours a day, some even 24 hours a day, with no health ensurance and almost no taxes. If you understand the problem here, you understand why now everybody HAS to build their devices in China, if they want to survive on the market. Crapple, well, another story. I will for sure be happy when china raises their prices so much so that other companies can finaly break free from Drapple greed and chinese guvernment. But well....

Why did this happen? Because others were too lazy & greedy.
That said, doesn't matter who's in charge of production, just pick a device works best, no need BS against CH or to others.

The company is UK based and all other stuff that are not manufacturing, like design, software and so on, are made in UK. Yet you call a company chinese just because a guy is (maybe) from china and you call me anti-china? My my, people this days can't even understand their own understanding of the world Yes, i am am anti-china copy paste... if a chinese company can get on it's feet with quality products and not copy pasting everything and not stealing consumer information or stuffing ads, then it has my full respect.

Nothing phones with these specs and prices will one day be forgotten. Sooner or later. they have to change their policy and have better specs and improve and a little more things to the users. Their beautiful design is already repetitive. It was for first 2 years. People are not hype for this design anymore.

P.S.: Don't forget that Nothing is Chinese too. Pei Yu, the founder of OnePlus, founded the company.

It may seem unfair to come up with a five-year-old phone, but actually it should be embarrassing as we expect technology to move forward, not backwards.

It's still come with USB Type-C 2.0, OTG
I noticed most mid-range mobile only come with 2.0 except Vivo x200 ultra.
2.0, can't connect via hdmi cable to lcd monitor. Very important when you need it.
USB Type-C 3.0 is widely available on higher end phone. Is it because of the cost? I am not sure.

For all the bla bla bla, at my country, POCO from Xiaomi still offer the best of value for high performance smartphone at very low price. Up there, you have Realme, Honor, iQoo that offer for higher price with a little bit better specs. Talk about experience, Xiaomi's smartphone doesn't disappoint, not the best, but it get the job done. For those speaking processor doesn't matter, you will get more lag than those so called optimized smartphone with low end smartphone in long run no matter how good the optimization are.
