Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro announced with SD7s Gen 3 and telephoto cameras

Nothing officially announced its mid-range duo, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. The two phones are based on the same platform, but the Pro version adds a couple of extra features, better cameras and a different design.
Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
The Phone (3a) Pro is built around a 6.77-inch OLED panel protected by Panda Glass. The panel is touted to reach 1,300 nits of brightness and supports 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is responsible for driving those pixels, and depending on the region, you can get either 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB or 12GB/256GB variants.

Nothing puts a lot of emphasis on the (3a) Pro's camera. The main camera uses a 50MP 1/1.56" sensor paired with f/1.88 aperture and the lens has OIS. There is also a 50MP 1/1.95" f/2.55 periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, which Nothing claims can be extended up to 6x using the TrueLens 3.0 engine and other AI smarts to enhance the image quality. A basic 8MP ultrawide camera completes the setup at the back.

The front-facing shooter looks somewhat promising - 50MP, 1/2.76", f/2.2.
All that hardware is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery supporting up to 50W charging and according to Nothing, you can regain 50% of the battery charge in 19 minutes.
Other noteworthy features include the iconic Nothing Glyph interface on the back that gives the device that distinct look and the LEDs come in handy with incoming notifications and calls, for example. The phone also has IP64 protection and has an Essential Key placed under the power button. The button is programmable, but it's intended to make your life easier by helping you organize your stuff easily. You can capture and send content directly to your Essential Space.
Owners should expect 3 major OS updates and 6 years of security patches, starting from NothingOS 3.1 based on Android 15.
Nothing Phone (3a) Pro in Grey and Black
The majority of markets get only one memory variant - 12GB/256GB costing £449 / $459 / €459 / INR 33,999, while India also gets two cheaper options - 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB, asking INR 29,999 and 31,999, respectively. Colorways are only Grey and Black.
The handset will be available for pre-order on March 11.
Nothing Phone (3a)
The vanilla Phone (3a) offers the same 6.77-inch OLED panel, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and up to 12GB/256GB memory.

The main difference is in the camera setup. The standard (3a) retains the 50MP f/1.88 main camera, but replaces the 3x periscope telephoto unit with a standard 2x zoom camera with a 50MP 1/2.74", sensor. The 8MP ultrawide is also unchanged. The front 50MP unit is replaced by a 32MP f/2.2 one.

Battery capacity and charging are also identical - 5,000 mAh and 50W fast wired charging.
The IP64 ingress protection, Essential Key and the promised 3 major OS updates and 6 years of software upgrades have all trickled down to the more affordable Phone (3a).
Nothing Phone (3a) in Black, Blue and White
The global memory configurations are 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB, asking £329 / €329 / INR 24,999 and £379 / $379 / €379, respectively. The Indian market gets one extra flavor - 8GB/256GB, and it will set you back INR 26,999. The available paint jobs are Black, White and Blue, but the last one won't be available in the US.
In most markets, customers can place a pre-order on March 4 via Nothing's official web store.
