O2 will offer XDA Orbit II and XDA Stellar

It seems that O2 has prepared two new mobile phones for December and hopefully they will become available just in time for Christmas. Unfortunately, those handsets are not listed in the global O2 portfolio yet. The O2 XDA Stellar and O2 XDA Orbit II will be offered at a subsidized prize with a fixed-term contract.

The HSDPA-enabled tri-band O2 XDA Stellar is a twin of the HTC TyTN II, a phone we've reviewed recently. It's a feature loaded QWERTY keyboard PocketPC, which comes with a 2.8" 65K TFT touchscreen display with QVGA resolution, built-in GPS receiver, a 400 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, and a 3 megapixel autofocus camera.

The HSDPA-enabled quad-band O2 XDA Orbit II is another twin of an already announced HTC handset - this time it's HTC Touch Cruise. However, the XDA Orbit II has undergone several cosmetic design changes to meet the O2 requirements. The PocketPC flaunts a 2.8" 65K TFT touchscreen with QVGA resolution, built-in GPS receiver, 400 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, and a 3 megapixel autofocus camera. The full TouchFLO technology is also present here. The original HTC Touch Cruise is not available yet, however HTC representatives promised that it would hit the stores before Christmas.

O2 has some more smarties in store for the Christmas shoppers. The other ones however are already available. Those are O2 XDA Comet, O2 XDA Terra, O2 XDA Nova and O2 XDA Argon.

The HSDPA enabled quad-band O2 XDA Comet is the same device as the O2 XDA Atom Life, but it is intended for the German market, while the XDA Atom Life is for the Asian market but doesn't has a close HTC relative. O2 XDA Comet comes with the latest Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional OS. The Comet is eqiuped with heavy arsenal onboard. It has a 2.7" 65K TFT touchscreen with QVGA resolution, 620 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM and a breath-taking 1GB ROM, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v1.2, and a 2 megapixel camera.

The quad-band O2 XDA Terra, a remake of the HTC P4350, sports a 2.7" 65K TFT touchscreen display with QVGA resolution, full QWERTY hardware sliding keyboard, 200 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, as well as a 2 megapixel camera.

The tri-band O2 XDA Nova, known elsewhere as HTC Touch, has too undergone several cosmetic design changes with the navigation panel to do with the one of Qtek S100. O2 XDA Nova is the first phone to include full TouchFLO technology, a 2.8" 65K TFT touchscreen with QVGA resolution, 201 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, and a 2 megapixel camera.

The tri-band O2 XDA Argon, otherwise known as HTC P6300, houses a 3.5" 65K TFT touchscreen display with QVGA resolution, 400 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, and a 2 megapixel camera.
