I want to agree with everyone else, the phone is absolutly terrible. I bought it on pay as you go, and it was quite expensive I thought (£130) so I expected it to be quite good. The camera is terrible, the screen is very hard to see in sunshine, the battery life is absolutly shockingly bad, the predictive text is awful as you can't add words, it takes ages to add punctuation as you have to wait for a fancy slow moving extra menu to come up! Also, I turned the phone off and when it turned back on the address book wasn't loaded...fair enough I thought, it will take a few minutes...three days later it still hadn't loaded! This seems to be a manufacturing fault with it as my friend had the same problem. Also when I have turned it on and off enough times for the contacts list to load (which drains the battery till it is almost dead) all my contacts are multiplied several times! So every person is now listed in my phone about 5 times each! Which then takes ages to delete as there is no quick way to delete multiple entries. The other annoying thing about the contacts list is that if you enter a different number for a person whos name is already in the list then it doesn't differentiate between them. you have to go to edit before knowing whether a number os mobile or landline! its terrible! The only good thing I like about it is the memory storage, I can hold 200 texts in it, and god knows how many names (there are about 400 in mine but then most of them are substitutes so...hmmm...). It is very hard to get ringtones for the phone aswell because it is actually made by O2 so websites don't usually list it as possible so no crazy frog on this phone! It does look nice I think.
One thing that someone else mentioned is that the key pad doesn't light up. Yes it does, you need to turn the battery saving option off. They probably put that option on there because the battery life is sooooo bad! but apart from ALL of that...yeah its great!!

    This will turn in to a rant but please if you are seriously thinking about buying an 02X2, PLEASE BARE WITH ME. Where shall I start? It's Terrible, just terrible. This phone has got NOTHING going for it. People say it looks good, but after 2mins it is scratched all over. The camera is in an awkward place, the pics are poor quality and eat up too much memory. Texting is probably the worse thing... Predictive text is shocking, you can't add words to the dictionary, the 1 button does f-all, and for any punctuation you need to select it through the star button - Why not let the 1 button do something like on a Nokia? The 1 button doesn't even give you the number 1; you need to change the setting from 'iTap' to '123'. To top it off it DOESN'T tell you how many characters you've used, so you don't know when you’re in the 2nd text until you've sent it. It’s extremely annoying to watch the balance go down 20p instead of 10p when the text has probably gone into the 2nd one by a character or so. It all adds up, all 02's benefit. Now onto the battery, mine doesn't fit properly so it’s really squeaky every time you hold the phone, and its life, that’s awful too, I struggle getting 2 days out of it. After the charging it, I turn the phone on only to find I cannot receive or send text messages or phone calls because it is just loading the whole time. I have to turn the phone off and on again, draining the shoddy battery. The alarms on offer are not loud enough for sound sleeps like myself, and it will not make any noise if you forget to take your phone off silent. Another thing is that incredibly loud and annoying 02 network sound it makes when being turned on or off. What takes the biscuit is the fact these are loud enough to wake anyone up, but can't be set as an alarm! The screen is quite small and is impossible to see when in any sunlight, and the keypad doesn't light up, so using the phone in darkness holds severe difficulties. If you couldn't be bothered to read my boring on-going rant, please go ahead and buy the phone, if you read half of it and just came to the bottom line for the summary you will be unable to detect the sarcasm in the next statement....

    This is the greatest phone ever made, buy it now! ;)

      what a load of crap text takes so long to doand too complicated,scratches too easy, battery life is crap only warns low battery with about 2 seconds to go and i even see O2 online shop does not even sell it anymore. crap crap crap give me nokia anyday

          I am extremely dissapointed in this phone. The glass front scratches easily and it has very poor reception. The phone sometimes refuses to charge and I am now on my 4th charger as it has not been possible to determine where the fault lies..

          We have had five of these in the office and every last one of them has either broken down or had charging problems. All of the facias were scratched or cracked within days of receipt which I have been told is a manufacturing fault. It did look nice but it definately did not live upto expectations.

            i am really disappointed how crap this phone was! it scratches really easily and is slow to work. i got my fone last august and have had to get it fixes 3 or 4 times because it just keeps breaking! i wouldnt advice people to buy this model!

              i feel that alot of what people say is rubish because i think this phone is awesome... its small and easy to use, i love its style and the way it looks... if any of you think the screen is too small then thats true but shouldnt you have noticed when you bought it? yea i admit the camera is absolutely rubish but thats alright because a phones for texxting and calling and this phone is perfect for that... it has awesome games and ringtones are perfect... i love this phone

                i hate it. cr*p i really want to change it but i have only had it since xmas. i have got a massive scratch on the front. also my old x2's camera broke so i got a new x2

                      Some hope. Phones 4 U have made me an offer, i can choose a phone with similar features and (don't have to take the O2X2 home.)Will not give me my money back or refund me any funds, for a cheaper phone. Would never choose to buy a phone from them but have only one option.

                          Have had the phone since september, is now being fixed for the second time. It has to be sent back 3 times before they will make a "good will gesture" and take the O2 X2 back. I have now been without a phone for nearly 4 weeks.No batterey life, no ring tones, does not always turn on, can turn itself off when it wants.Absolutley useless.
                          Can they not come clean say there is fault and put us out of our misery. I want my money back.

                              If you are looking for an o2 phone try the XDAs they are all excellent. The x1 x2 x1i are all sh*t, they are made by the cheapest company ever. Trust me I know for a fact.!!!

                                This is the worst fone i av eva had, within 5 months, i av took it bk 2 the shop 6 times, had 3 different fones, each 1 the same model, and it still does not work, i wouldnt advise any1 2 get this model. x

                                  ive had the o2x2 for about 5months and i know what people mean by it takes blurry pictures, the camera on this phone isnt very good. Im waiting for the o2x4 mobile phone to come out, and up-grade my phone. Otherwise the o2x2 is a lovely phone to text and call. I think o2 need to change a few settings and what not on the o2x2. Possibly add some more choices like a zoom/flash on the camera and possibly put in a radio!

                                    I bought this phone about a year ago. It isnt that bad, it does the simple things like games, txts and phone calls, but the camera isnt very good (a bit blurry) and I have problems sending picture messages, but i do suggest you get a phone that is an actual brand ie nokia.. as 02 did make these themselves, and they are a phone company not a phone making company!!

                                      its awful had mine on a contract for about 9 months and it is so bad at keeping its charge u charge it up and the next minute its low again even got a new battery from o2 but that didnt make a difference ive a funny feeling that the o2 staff know how bad it is but fob you off to their customer services department ive cancelled my contract and ordered a new phone ide just about had enpugh of it

                                        I got this mob in november 04 and i wish i didnt waste 100 quid on it. i hav downloaded games on it b4 and they havent worked. it has 1mb of memory but ya might aswell say it has no memory at all my x2 can only keep 2 photos, it has problems chargeing, my volume buttons have broke and my end call button hardly works, bloke in O2 shop said der a waste of £££ DONT BY THE X2
