is there a way to re-install the software? is there spkrphone on this phone and the volume is really low..even at the max...is there a way to re-install the software...

J, 14 May 2008My device has spent weeks away getting repairs for similar ... morehello friend.
Speaking about warranty. The warranty for the unit will be for 1 whole year from the date of purchase. ( no matter how many replacements happen over a period )
. Post 1 year the replacement will hold 90 days warranty.
And for sure 90 days is more than enough to judge if the unit is performing better or its also a problem piece.

Step 2 : Press and hold the stylus the submenu will appear.and one of the option is Set as Ringtone.

BATTERY PROBLEM RESOLUTION :
Its a known fact that this phone has a poor battery life. people on average get about 90-200 minutes talktime.
> I've been using pda for ages now and have a better idea. The best option is to try with the settings : Make sure you have the settings right to get the display off after 30seconds to a minute.
Alternatively you can buy any third party software like power meter to customize your power consumption settings. ( its available free to download. try googleing it. )
Even if this dont serve your purpose the only option for betterment is to replace the battery. normally the battery of atom last for about 200 cycles and then it start detoriating.
Buying a High Capacity battery will solve the problem.
( you may have a question where u can buy high capacity battery for your atom. simple

What i advise is to buy a high capacity battery .
Example: O2 XDA Atom High Capacity Battery 3200mAh will help you.

This is not a issue with phone its battery problem. buy a hicapacity replacement battery and that will solve your problem. Ideally the complete charge will take about 1 hour 30 mins. so looks some thing is wrong with battery. try out this will help.

The difference is that the sound is louder in Rokr when compared to Atom.
But the Sound definition is good in Atom. even thought its not loud its clear and defined.
so its your decision if you love loud music or the one that plays clear music.

What exactly you need to do is to press and hold the menu button for few seconds to get the loudspeaker on( say about 5-7 seconds ). and the same way to get of the loudspeaker.

Hello,
I've got a XDA Atom & having a problem trying to use speakerphone function. According to the manual if you tap the menu during a call you should be able to select the "Turn hands-free on" menu but it's always greyed out on mine.plese help me.

I've got a problem Sfeir, a mild voice heard him when continuous operation of the screen and Iestmr even when a call
I went to the maintenance and told me that the problem in the screen
I have now replaced for the second time because of the sound again after two to three months and the price of replacing the screen sums up to the price of new single
Note that I use a very mild and hardly a week passes began to use
When a call was forced my desire to use headphones to avoid the sound and the problem is that the voice is weak and headphones if you were speaking of the pack is empty

hello!
can anyone help me on how to set the phone's internet connection? everytime i use internet explorer, its gives me the message "The address is not valid. Check the address and try again". I believe it has something to do with the GPRS setting..currently, my setting is CHAP Authentication..Should i change it?

first, Please find a computer with internet connection.
second, type www.google.com
third, type anti virus for WM5
fourth, select one of the search result and go to the site...
fifth, select the software that makes a lot promises and click download.
sixth, once dowloaded, connect your O2 atom to that computer via active sync.
seventh, right click that downloaded antivirus and click copy.
eighth, right click again in the mobil phone folder which can be found in my computer..
ninth, click explore after right clicking the mobil phone folder, once inside, right click again and click paste ...
tenth, disconnect the O2 atom from the computer and open the file explorer in the O2 atom.
Eleventh, click on the downloaded application and let it install...
Twelveth, once installed, click on the scan the phone and let it be, till the time it's done scanning...
I hope this may help you to find the anitivirus and install because if this doesn't help ...nothing ever will.

Iam planning to buy Motorola ROKR E6 or O2 XDA ATOM. I decided these after reading a lot of reviews. I heard E6 have good sound quality, I dont know about atom's sound quality.
What I really need is sound quality(esp. thru ear plugs)
I know atom is technically more advanced but what bothers me is the quality of sound.

While it is 50% or less charge it can't charge if the pc software not loaded.even I can't charge directly from adapter.But while it is fully discharge then it take charge. So I 'm disconnect 2 hour.
How you rescue me.
